I have 2 hard drives in my desktop PC (drive C: my main hard drive, and drive G: my storage hard drive). I found a Overclocked demo on drive G:, but when I go to control panel > add/remove programs, this demo does not show up in my Remove Programs list for drive G:. How do I uninstall this demo from drive G: when there's no "uninstall" option or shortcut, etc. I mean, if I just delete it, it'll still be in my registry and this is why I want to uninstall it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

One option would be to reinstall it in the same folder, overriding the previous installation, and check if it appears in the add/remove program list afterward. There is also the possibility of a "remove" option being available from the installer if it detects a previous installation.

Or just delete the folder and run Ccleaner to clean out the registry.

If there is no listing for the demo in Control Panel->Add/Remove then you may not have a problem at all and, if it were me, I likely would just delete it directly from the G Drive and leave it at that. Some Demos do not install using a registry entry. In fact, some full adventure games don't (eg. Rhem 1 and Alida). However, even if the Demo originally made a registry entry when it was installed, another way this can occur is if you have since used System Restore to go back to an earlier time: This removes the entry of the program in the registry, but leaves the program folder & contents on your drive. Then as far as Windows is concerned- the program doesn't exist!

The bigger problem occurs when you have a program entry in Add/Remove, but the program no longer exists on the drive. Then you need a special tool (eg. such as existed in the original Powertoys or a program such as JV16 Power Tools.) or the skill/knowledge to directly access the registry & know what to delete to get rid of the entry.

The future ain't what it used to be!
