Here's a fairly easy but interesting little quiz using sound clips from science fiction movies.

Pity the answers aren't provided.  For some of the questions I was not familiar with any of the movies.  One of the possible (and "correct"
answers was just plain wrong, too.

Here are the answers. I'm curious, which answer that they labeled as correct was wrong?

Spoiler Alert

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
HAL 9000
Frankenstein
Forbidden Planet
Alien
War of the Worlds (1953)
Tie Fighter from Star Wars
Robocop
Logan's Run
Them! (1954)
Star Trek
Jurassic Park
Earth vs. The Flying Saucers
Tron

Hey, not bat... 85 credits... Thanks for the answers Andromus, looks like I failed to recognize Star Treck and Earth vs. The Flying Saucers. Funny thing is I only saw Alien, Star Wars, Robocop, 2001 Space Odissey and Jurassic Park. Frankenstein, Forbidden Planet, War of the Worlds, Logan's Run, Them and Tron were movies that I seem to recall pieces of the movie instead of actually remembering all of the movie, and the rest was just intuition... seems to be that this can be a pretty easy quiz for someone who watched most of the movies.

Well, 'wrong' was too strong a word, perhaps: it was rather incorrect.

Spoiler AlertQuestion 11 asks what TV show "*chirrup* The captain is not on the ship." is from.  The expected answer is of course "Star Trek", but a more proper answer would be "Star Trek: The Next Generation".  Even if one were to make it a trick question any include another 24th-century Trek, it's still obviously early-season TNG given the soft quality of Majel Barret's voice.

I got 64 credits but there were a couple of movies listed that I'd never seen and I would have liked to listen to a couple of them twice (on account of my kids walking in talking....)

Bit late now, I know, but all them are replayable. Or at least in my browser, audio player controls were available.

Heh.  You resurrected an old thread, Ivinia, but I'm glad because I hadn't tried this one.  I got a 56.

I don't recall what I got the first time (or the correct answers as far as I can remember), so I decided to give it a try. 93 credits.

There are quite a few there I haven't seen.  I'll have to add them to my wish list.

Sadly I don't think many people even come down here to this area.  It should probably be moved up higher so it's more noticeable. Heck, that AG Scene thread should probably be in the AG Games thread.  Seems like most of the AG Themed puzzles get very little action around here since they are off the beaten path so to speak... :
