Yes, I still need to get in touch with most of my American acquaintances to wish them a lovely day. Most of them entirely missed Canada Day, of course, but I'm not one to hold a grudge unless there's good reason.

Status : Offline | Little known fact about July 4 (America's Independence Day): Our 2nd president, John Adams (also our 1st vice-president) and our 3rd president Thomas Jefferson were good friends (actually more like best friends) throughout their life (except for a period starting when they ran against each other for president and ending after Jefferson's 2 terms as president). John Adams lived into his 90s & Thomas Jefferson into his 80s, both writing letters to each other until soon before they died. But get this: they both died in 1826 on the 4th of July exactly 50 years after the official signing of the Declaration of Independence!

The future ain't what it used to be!
