I hope it's OK for me to post this inquiry. Honest answers and comments will be appreciated, as long as my mother kept out of my discussion.

I will be buying it.  I'm just the type of gamer/person that gets heavy into something for a while and then has a cooling off period(could be many months) before going back in hot again.

Having played the demo for a little while and seeing the quality of the game (as well as getting to know your tastes a little, Alkis), I am indeed interested in buying the game, but I'm a little strapped right now.  Next time I run into a little extra money, it shall be mine!  The free shipping is a very nice incentive, by the way.

From the demo it looked like a slow game with lots of going back and forth and only one - fairly large - area to explore.
A review I read confirmed this, so I didn't buy it.

While the the plot is intriguing, the quality just wasn't up to the standard.  The characters move like they did in late 80's and don't belong with the surroundings.  The interface is not that great either.  I would spend $5-10 on a game like this, but not $30 and I don't really want to encourage the decline in quality standards.  Other thing that annoyed me was the main character, I didn't like his look, especially the hairstyle.

Alkis, I was one who voted 'i intend to buy the game in the future' I just was wondering, did you try and get a distribution deal for the game or did you decide at an early stage that the 'in-house buy online from us' sales method was the most realistic option? I have bought several games that I had never heard of but looked intriguing as an impulse buy in a game store so obviously you miss out on those kind of sales.

That's sort of a long discussion Steve and furthermore, it includes things I'm not prepared to say in public. Sorry.

I had not heard of it, and voted appropriately.
Having read a little about the game, I am certainly interested and am currently downloading the demo.
If I enjoy the demo I will likely buy the game.

Congratulations on getting something out there, from what I've seen and read the game seems nicely polished.
Also, good choice to go with 2D backgrounds, I still think it's the best option for an Adventure game (or fixed camera 3D).

No reason other than my current financial situation and location considerably prohibit frequently purchasing games. Free shipping is a nice incentive, but I don't often have $30 to spend freely.

For me I just wasn't crazy about what I saw in the demo. In the past this wouldn't have mattered as I tended to buy any indie game out there to show my support. I was only disappointed once. Now with having to watch my spending, I am much more selective and the demo didn't really capture my imagination.  :-/

It was the graphics for me, also. I know there's much more to a game than graphics alone, but for me they are quite important. Not that I demand the latest 3D technology or anything (On the contrary! - I'm still a fan of lo-res 640x480 hand drawn artwork), but the images have to inspire me, and capture me. I hope I'm making sense here.

I probably would've bought this game if it was in the 10 to 15 USD pricerange.

I hope all the info you're gathering here will help you in any future projects. Don't give up on game making!

I agree with pavel4444, especially the hairstyle. The demo makes a bad impression. Sorry I'll pass.

I believe the game was made using the Adventure Game Studio engine which, while a good program for what it is, provides certain limits graphically on what is possible so I wouldn't judge how good or bad Alkis' team are at creating images because of the tools they had to use.

In its own way this poll is a useful indicator of how polarised the AG community is, almost evenly divided between people who are not going to play it because they didn't like something about it and others who have indicated a commitment to purchasing the game in the future...I wouldn't like to be a developer trying to work out what peiple want nowadays!
