i used to be in a band that played bars and private parties (back in the 80's and early 90's ).....
i could never get over how bad i smelled once i got home...
my clothes were bad but my hair was the worst...

I know exactly what you mean... OK, except for that hair bit - my hair is short so I could not really smell it even if I wanted to
But yes, I always hated that. I'd go to a pub with my friends and when I came back, my clothes smelled as if I was a smoker myself.

i don't like smoking but i have to put up with almost everyone else who does, since i live in the smoking capital of europe (or even the world)! >

Status : Online | My dad did the same to me! You know, when you're a kid you want to do everything the adults do. Well, one day my dad was having a smoke and I kept bugging him, asking if I could try it, finally he said "Okay". It's a real eye-opener when you take a big drag! I've never felt like smoking since, not even in high school (I just wasn't cool enough, I guess).
The only thing I do now, is if I go camping with my buddies. I'll buy a pack of wine dipped cigar/cigarette dealies with the plastic tips. I never light them, I just like to chew on the plastic end.
Never do anything half-assed, always use your WHOLE ass!!

Status : Online | I smoke. The amount of cigarettes varies. Say, if really bored. Probably around 15 a day but that could go down or up.
Don't smoke in the car, don't smoke when people are around who do not smoke and if outside somewhere waiting to get in, say a movie or restaurant, stand to the side.
Do I resent it a bit, yes, but it is no big deal. If I start foaming at the mouth because deprived of a cigarette while in a crowd or such, then I probably would resent it.
Things I do miss, is a cigarette when having some good coffee after a great meal in a restaurant or running out on the weekend for an early breakfast, coffee, cigarette and paper at some cafe.
Miss it when having talks with friends in restaurants or such. Where you used to sit for hours, you now finish your meal and leave as soon as possible.

But I "just" smoke about 10 cigarettes a week !
I do not smoke when I am at home (hey, I have to sleep there as well) !
But if I meet someone (especially if he/she is a smoker too) @ the coffeehouse I cannot resist (mostly).
Was du nicht willst, daß man dir tut,&&das fueg auch keinem andren zu !&&&& o not do to others, what you do not want done to yourself !
