Status : Offline | I've been having nightmares about this dude for a couple of days after I overfed myself with too many info. on this case. This guy is really really sick. 40 years is such a long time to pretend to be a normal person but in fact that he's not. I think that sums pretty much that he's a nut job. It's so tragic what happened to her daughter.
Being an adventure gamer and being able to imagine what it was like to live under there for so long without sunlight...etc, it's really disturbing.

Status : Online | It was so astounding to me that the mother didn't know! I can't imagine how she must feel about herself right now. Knowing that all that time, the man she loved and fathered her children was keeping her very own daughter locked away from the sunlight, and doing unspeakable things to her... for that many years? What a horrible, horrible feeling to have to live with.

The news reports coming out of Austria in the days immediately following his arrest cited his wife's sister making claims that they had lived under his thumb and that the sexual romantic relationship with his wife had ceased years earlier. Of course that coulde be a lie but he did go on sex holidays with buddies to Thailand so it would support the theory that he and his wife left each other alone.
It was further stated that he often descended into his workroom basement around 9pm, in order to 'work' through the night and that the family, relieved of his company and forbidden from disturbing him, went to bed and left him.
I find it all perfectly believable. Each time such 'monsters' are discovered their families are astonished.
