Deleted UserJust finished my first play through and loved every minute of it. Took a little getting used to playing with only the keyboard but in the end it actually worked out pretty good. Yeah it wasn't scary but had everything else you could want in a survival horror game. I loved the atmosphere and the baddy characters Salazar and Saddler. Some of the exchanges, esp. with Salazar, were just to funny. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes survival horror.

you played re4 using a keyboard???
you sir are a superhero! [smiley=bowdown.gif] i didn't think that was within human capabilities!

have only played the ps2 and gc versions so far, and will be playing the pc one soon, but only after i lay my hands on a gamepad... also got the wii version which i'd like to try in the future

re4 is probably the most addictive survival horror game there is... ok, they did put in more action and dumbed down the adventure elements, compared to other sh games, but all is done just right... i've already played it 4 or 5 times and that's far from being all! 8-)

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

I agree with Aya, Im in awe that you played this using keyboard control.
Ive only played this for the GC so far and probably 3-4 times, I will probably try the PS2 version soon. I Love this game and also highly recommend it.

I loved all the RE games but 4 was just SO GOOD, I tried to go back and play the older ones but now I feel they're to slow paced.

Its one of the most addictive games Ive every played and I cant Wait for the next one.

How can you play a game more then once.

There are so many other good games and I've got so little time.

Do you have a job?

A friend told me the same. I like Survival Horror games, but it's much better for me when they're really scary and I've read RE4 doesn't  have many scary moments. Maybe I should give it a try though.

Deleted User@ Aya and Helen: Playing with just the keyboard really wasn't that bad. Myself, I find using a gamepad or console controller even harder. I agree that so far this has been the most addictive game I've played. Close seconds are Chronicles of Riddick and Silent Hill 2 and 3. I think what was addictive to me was the immersion and atmosphere of this game. I just wish the current adventure games could do that. I must admit though that I am very fond of SciFi and horror. I'll give anything (ie. action, action-adventure, adventure or hybrid) along those lines a try. I am going to pass on Culpa though (sorry Aya), since too much conversation is a turn-off for me. Looks like I got a little OT here, sorry.

@ Sir Funk: I have always agreed with you on that (ie. playing a game more than once) until now. RE4 will be an exception for me.

@ Taio: I also know how you feel, the scary the better. However, RE4 just grabbed me and didn't let go.

Hmm.

Ok I will try it a second time.

Perhaps you're right........with this one.

There's an unofficial mod for the PC version that adds mouse support.  However, I would say the Wii version is easily the best one.  Once you aim with the Wiimote using the controller feels too awkward.

Yes sir funky I have a job

The RE games are the only games I can play more than once because I just get a kick out of seeing how much better I can do. I know alot of people can play adventure games over but I cant, possibly an rpg.

Kuddles,
I recently bought RE4 for the Wii, but havent really had time to get very far was just able to give it a try and of course my aim is just SO much better with the wiimote.
