Perhaps Lost Horizon (only I don't have it yet)? or Dead Reefs or Mysterious Island or Runaway?
I'd really like to try out Darkstar, but it's a huge download, and I'm struggling to find a hard copy.

Then i would pick Runaway or as a second option Mysterious Island.

I already have Runaway installed, but will also install Dead Reefs and start on it, and keep Runaway as a backup. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I ask because when Event Horizon was first released at the movies, I couldn't stand it. It was confusingly gory for no reason, it seemed.
After the Director's Cut was released on DVD,I think it's one of the freakiest Sci-Fi/Horror movies I ever seen. Sort of a vision of Hell in Outer Space with Gross Stuff Eternal. Still confusing, but scarier. It can put you off your Tang (the powdered orange drink for astronauts back in the '60's).
Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

And now the game starts to develop some Silent Hill vibes as well.

Ok, this is a funny thing. I have The Adventure Collection Vol.1, which contains, I think, my only copy of Dead Reefs. So while installing DR, I realised that I'd never gotten around to playing Nibiru, so I installed it along with Mysterious Island and Dead Reefs.
...sooo, when I tried to launch Dead Reefs, it kept crashing, so I thought what the heck - could just as well play Nibiru, and so I'm playing Nibiru at the mo.
In the meantime, I'm wondering if Dead Reefs needs to be patched?

If it crashes to desktop before the main menu, then yes you need a patch.
I don't really remember why, but there was something about Niburu I hated, so i never completed that one :-/

Re Nibiru: I'm quite enjoying it, but the more I play, the more I become obsessed with the idea that the voice actor for the main character in Nibiru is the same guy that does the player character in Gothic.
I've managed to track down that the main guy in Nibiru is voiced by Rory o'Shea, but he doesn't seem to have done Gothic as well, yet he sounds exactly the same to me... :-?

I looked up the three endings that I missed on youtube (comedy ending, electrocution ending & tormented ending)
Silent hill 2's comedy ending was stranger

Hi Maum, tried that, but then it goes to a grey screen upon initialising, instead of just straight crashing to desktop. Will look for a patch this weekend.

I remember having problems with Dead Reefs but cant remember if I installed a patch or what. The thing for me was when I finally got it to play I found it to be a very boring game. :-/ I tried my best to finish it but IMO it was terrible.
On the other hand I enjoyed Niburu.
You may enjoy both who knows, but I just dont think you'll be missing much if you cant get dead reefs up and running. Just my personal opinion though.

I haven't played Nibiru but 'knowing' (or should Isay knowing the types of games she likes) Trav I think she would like Dead Reefs.

I guess I'll try and see if I can somehow wangle my monitor to display at one of the game's defaults... :-/
