Apart from Stacking the other adventuer type game i'm playing at the moment is......

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective on the DS.

Made by the man who made the Phoenix Wright games.

Solve your own murder and save a young girl from multiple deaths, by interacting with the environment and change fate to solve the mystery.

I'm playing "Secret Files" on my Nintendo DS.

One reviewer said: "Secret Files: Tunguska feels a lot like a stale tribute to a long-gone genre."

What they mean I believe is that this game plays like the Broken Sword game does - very closely.

And its true - this - like "The Hotel" - which is the last PC game I plan on ever getting - both played like Broken Sword - and had similar plots too.

I myself liked the fact that Secret Files on my DS looked and played exactly like the PC origonal.

I played SF 2 - it is more origonal than the first and I liked it as well.

I'm looking forward to the DS version of this game.

I'm going to play Ghost Trick a second time - loved the game the first time!

Deleted UserYup, although R3 outlines the highlights of the previous games in order to make R3 a stand alone game, there is no better choice IMO than to experience the whole series from the beginning.  Good choice there. 8-)

Just finished the second episode of Back To The Future. It was fun, but like the first episode more in the sense of an interactive movie than a game.

It's somewhat sloppy in presentation also. There are typos in the subtitles, and variations between spoken dialogue and subtitles. Odd shifts between scenes with characters suddenly appearing and disappearing. And as with the first game, I had to copy a .dll file from Puzzle Agent to make it work.  :-/

Just completed Jack Keane which I had fun with. (I was rather puzzled by the review on this site claiming the voice acting was atrocious. I actually thought it was pretty good. I can think of a few other games with VERY bad voice acting and JK definitely isn't on the list for me.)

Just started Dead Reefs (after some game-starting issues). Got used to the gameplay straight away (must be all those RPGs) and am so far rather hooked.

Still playing Edna & Harvey (hard game). But now starting Grey Matter.  I found it yesterday while browsing the shelves at WalMart for $19.96. I couldn't believe it!

I don't buy download-only games. Never have, never will........Mike

I just finished Gray Matter. It was an overall good game, with an intriguing story that gets better through the half of it. The main character, Sam, has a nice personality, she's not dull as many main characters of recent adventure games. I doubt you'll need a walkthrough for this game, it's pretty easy in general, not really challenging. There are some flaws that make the game less good than it should be. For instance, Sam's or David's reactions to certain things or objects would remain the same, even after some important events. For instance, when David looks at an agenda of the year of the acident he realized he doesnt remember anything, so he goes to see psychiatrist. Afterwards, if you clicked on the same agenda, David's reaction would be the exact thing as before. There are other flaws related to the cinematics, right at the end, Sam comments that David's face is really bad (meaning the accident injuries were visible) yet in the cinematics the face is perfect, no scars whatsoever. So in general, it was a pleasant journey, although I think the ending was a bit rushed, with a lot of things happening in the final scenes of the game (and lot other left unexplained). I don't think the game quite matches the hype that was around before it got released. Yes, the story is good, but I can name x number of other games with similar or better quality stories. But still, I do hope there is a sequel in the future.

Now, any suggestions for the next adventure game I should play? It should be recent... how's Lost Horizon? I'm a bit skeptic on that one as I had a bad relationship with the "Secret Files" saga.. is it any similar? Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Playing: Skyrim (ongoing)

Lost Horizon was fun. It's a very easy game but the graphics are lovely and the protagonists a lot more likeable than the Secret Files guys.
The voice acting is a hell of a lot better too!
Nazi baddies give it an Indiana Jones feel.

Overall I thought it was undemanding but enjoyable. You'll probably finish it quickly but you won't get bored playing it. IMO!

After playing mostly casual games, I finally got back to some adventure with Nancy Drew Waverly Academy. It's a perfect transition back to adventures. I think I'll tackle the Filmaker next.

Inesrocks I forgot to say I'm currently playing Dead Reefs and it's actually a great game.
The keyboard rather than mouse issue obviously put a lot of people off but I got used to the game play straight away (WASD for movement and direction arrows for actions (which appear on screen when available).) It's a not-scary ghost/murder/curse story. The graphics and atmosphere remind me of Burton's Sleepy Hollow (in fact I find the main character has a certain Johnny Depp quality about him).
I would personally highly recommend it!

I've been trying to play Black Mirror 2, but I can't help feeling put off by the obnoxiousness and nastiness of almost all the characters in it.  This must be just me, since everbody else seems to have enjoyed this game.

I can't help feeling the whole atmoshphere of the game such a huge contrast to BM 1, that I can hardly see how it could be a sequel.  Oh well..

Does the social setup in the game get any better as it progresses, though?

I was really put off by the game, too.  The people are indeed nasty, it has no obvious relation to The Black Mirror, and it's just slow and kind of boring to boot.  It didn't stay long on my hard disk, and I doubt I'll ever feel a desire to dig it out again.

I second that Trav. I thought the main character was so annoying I wanted horrible things to happen to him.

Over and over again.

I just finished Back to the Future Ep.2: Get Tannen! two days ago and liked it very much (same word as in Ep.1 has appeared in my mind over and over again while playing: "charming" (-; )

Yesterday I began playing Sentinel: Descendants in Time - had it installed quite a long time ago and didn't start it till yesterday - and found getting myself merged more and more into the game world. (-; Though the dialogues are odd for me quite often, Myst-like style of puzzles is something I love very much... (-;

Deleted UserI'm probably one of the last here but finally, at last, I've started Gray Matter delivered yesterday.  Having to wait so long, well it's been tough but for the most part I've been able to resist the temptation to view the related threads.

CB I just got my copy yesterday! Once I finish with Dead Reefs it's next on my list.
Sadly I'm getting lots of pesky visitors in the days to come and won't get any gaming time.

Pain in the butt.

I'm really enjoying the Filmmaker. Lots of puzzles, atmosphere, and exploration, and I haven't even got to the 'movie' parts yet.

I did not know that that game was made by the same people who made Schizm. I'll have to get it as soon as possible.

Just finished Drawn: Dark Flight. Very nice, with better puzzles than the first game. I particularly enjoyed the paint mixing puzzle at the second beacon.

I was rather disappointed at the lack of interactivity in the end game however, and there are still some issues unresolved. But it looks like there's another Drawn game in the works, so hopefully the next game will clear some of those things up.
