One reviewer said: "Secret Files: Tunguska feels a lot like a stale tribute to a long-gone genre."
What they mean I believe is that this game plays like the Broken Sword game does - very closely.
And its true - this - like "The Hotel" - which is the last PC game I plan on ever getting - both played like Broken Sword - and had similar plots too.
I myself liked the fact that Secret Files on my DS looked and played exactly like the PC origonal.
I played SF 2 - it is more origonal than the first and I liked it as well.
I'm looking forward to the DS version of this game.
I'm going to play Ghost Trick a second time - loved the game the first time!

Status : Offline | Just finished the second episode of Back To The Future. It was fun, but like the first episode more in the sense of an interactive movie than a game.
It's somewhat sloppy in presentation also. There are typos in the subtitles, and variations between spoken dialogue and subtitles. Odd shifts between scenes with characters suddenly appearing and disappearing. And as with the first game, I had to copy a .dll file from Puzzle Agent to make it work. :-/

Status : Offline | Just completed Jack Keane which I had fun with. (I was rather puzzled by the review on this site claiming the voice acting was atrocious. I actually thought it was pretty good. I can think of a few other games with VERY bad voice acting and JK definitely isn't on the list for me.)
Just started Dead Reefs (after some game-starting issues). Got used to the gameplay straight away (must be all those RPGs) and am so far rather hooked.

Status : Offline | I just finished Gray Matter. It was an overall good game, with an intriguing story that gets better through the half of it. The main character, Sam, has a nice personality, she's not dull as many main characters of recent adventure games. I doubt you'll need a walkthrough for this game, it's pretty easy in general, not really challenging. There are some flaws that make the game less good than it should be. For instance, Sam's or David's reactions to certain things or objects would remain the same, even after some important events. For instance, when David looks at an agenda of the year of the acident he realized he doesnt remember anything, so he goes to see psychiatrist. Afterwards, if you clicked on the same agenda, David's reaction would be the exact thing as before. There are other flaws related to the cinematics, right at the end, Sam comments that David's face is really bad (meaning the accident injuries were visible) yet in the cinematics the face is perfect, no scars whatsoever. So in general, it was a pleasant journey, although I think the ending was a bit rushed, with a lot of things happening in the final scenes of the game (and lot other left unexplained). I don't think the game quite matches the hype that was around before it got released. Yes, the story is good, but I can name x number of other games with similar or better quality stories. But still, I do hope there is a sequel in the future.
Now, any suggestions for the next adventure game I should play? It should be recent... how's Lost Horizon? I'm a bit skeptic on that one as I had a bad relationship with the "Secret Files" saga.. is it any similar? Comments and suggestions are welcome!
Playing: Skyrim (ongoing)
Last Finished: can't recall, been too long.

Overall I thought it was undemanding but enjoyable. You'll probably finish it quickly but you won't get bored playing it. IMO!

Status : Offline | Inesrocks I forgot to say I'm currently playing Dead Reefs and it's actually a great game. The keyboard rather than mouse issue obviously put a lot of people off but I got used to the game play straight away (WASD for movement and direction arrows for actions (which appear on screen when available).) It's a not-scary ghost/murder/curse story. The graphics and atmosphere remind me of Burton's Sleepy Hollow (in fact I find the main character has a certain Johnny Depp quality about him). I would personally highly recommend it!

I can't help feeling the whole atmoshphere of the game such a huge contrast to BM 1, that I can hardly see how it could be a sequel. Oh well..
Does the social setup in the game get any better as it progresses, though?

The people are indeed nasty, it has no obvious relation to The Black Mirror, and it's just slow and kind of boring to boot. It didn't stay long on my hard disk, and I doubt I'll ever feel a desire to dig it out again.

Yesterday I began playing Sentinel: Descendants in Time - had it installed quite a long time ago and didn't start it till yesterday - and found getting myself merged more and more into the game world. (-; Though the dialogues are odd for me quite often, Myst-like style of puzzles is something I love very much... (-;

Status : Offline | Just finished Drawn: Dark Flight. Very nice, with better puzzles than the first game. I particularly enjoyed the paint mixing puzzle at the second beacon.
I was rather disappointed at the lack of interactivity in the end game however, and there are still some issues unresolved. But it looks like there's another Drawn game in the works, so hopefully the next game will clear some of those things up.
