| Deleted User | @Maum Ok, I'll find those games ASAP and will let you know when I have them installed. Will start a thread for both of them in about a day or so.

Status : Offline | I just found myself spending 3h with Anachronox (and a few cups of tea). This games really proves that good graphics is not needed for an immersive experience (I should probably take a food break now).

Status : Offline | hehehe yep i was up late over it too. I think the graphics really are fine for it, they work with the story and give you a nice otherworldly feeling...and they are so well done it really does not affect the way the story feels.
Great Traveller, ....Anachronox is a really fun diversion, quite differnt in its own way from much of the game world, for the humor and the immersion are quite a lot of fun. Be sure to get the patches installed as some of the quests are tricky and it is better to make sure they will work.
Food is good Fnord...tea also

Status : Offline | OK that's it I have cracked and am currently installing Anachronox. After a stint of rather dull adventure games (excluding the Whispered World) I am in the mood for a good RPG!
Must get all the patches though.

My computer is Vista not XP. Shall I just wing it?
ETA I have just started playing and so far haven't encountered any problems. What should I do?

| Deleted User | No, while trying to install that patch, it said I had to first install 2 other previous versions of it... You say you're playing completely unpatched?

Status : Offline | I was. I installed the patch you linked me too, and of course installed it straight away. It did indeed say I had to install the previous version, and from what you're saying the version before that. Will download and install right now, I hope doing it in the wrong order won't screw up my game too much!
ETA as I've literally just started the game, I'm going to reinstall and add the patches in the correct order.

Status : Offline | I just wrapped up Murder on the Orient Express. I have to say, I enjoyed this much more than I expected, after finding And Then There Were None something of a let down. It has some lumps, but improves on ATTWN in many ways, being a much more polished game all around. The additions to the original story largely work here also, up until the ending where some plot points didn't fit quite as well, but well enough, particularly compared to how ATTWN's ending was handled.
And so I actually find myself looking forward to trying the remaining Agatha Christie game left in the series, Evil Under the Sun. Hopefully it continues to improve even more on the gains made by Murder on the Orient Express.

| Deleted User | You'll convince me to actually push on with MOTOE, Andromus, since I actually rather enjoyed ATTWN, in spite of it's design flaws. MOETOE just seemed off to such a slow and boring start, but perhaps I wasn't in the right mood for it at the time.
Would be interested to hear your feedback on EUTS, that's another one I haven't played yet.
On topic: since I managed to get hold of copies of both Whispered World and Black Mirror 2, I think I'll break a bit with Darkness Within to try out BM2, since so many people around here have played and commented on it.

Status : Offline | Im playing AOM-Cards of Destiny and I'm quite enjoying it. The story seems more entangling than the previous games and im loving the new locations to explore. Obviously, you always have the problem with the dialogues, but they're easy to skip..
Playing: Skyrim (ongoing)
Last Finished: can't recall, been too long.

Well, the game seems rather promising. Let's see how poor little Sadwick escapes his cannonball fate..

Now playing Runaway 3. I'm liking it so far and zipping right along.
I don't buy download-only games. Never have, never will........Mike

| Deleted User | I'm actually finding the voice-acting pretty good. I usually skip through dialogue as fast as possible, but I cannot resist letting those stones say their lines, for instance...
Sadwick's voice is brilliant, and the brother and grandfather was also good. Since I'd never met a ... a... Chaski before, I can't say if the Chaski's voice was fitting or not...
