Wow. Quite an experience compared with games I've recently played. I did like it though, very much. Very intriguing and highly questionable/debatable storyline. Although I just finished the game and re-played the intro, I'm sure I'll be thinking about this one for a while. Question: does it give meaning to new horizons for human perception? Well, it certainly raises the question. Well worth the visit over to GB to read the theories posted in the Outcry-Ending spoilers thread. Definitely deserves a replay since it’s not a particularly long game once you know what to do.

Thoughts anyone?

I too, still have to play Nibiru and Dead Reefs. Perhaps we could do a community playthrough for those.
Ah, nice to see you have time for some gaming again, Masher.
As for myself, since I managed to get Black Dahlia going with the kind help of Greyfuss and SuperEdy, I think I'll finally give it a try.

Get ready for a great game! The story is amazing imho and the puzzles are good with the exception of some ridiculously difficult ones.

Finished DF 1 and I am in the middle of Lights Out. So much I just didn't get about the stories the first time I played them that I am picking up now. Looking forward to finishing the series up with Lost Souls come Halloween.

I'm running around in circles and can't find my way back to that one puzzle I think I now have the solution to and when I do reach it, it's still not correct. I guess I'll install and play the Art of Murder games next, they are supposedly much easier. >

I wouldn't recommend a community playthrough of Dead Reefs, as most participators will (I can almost guarantee) have no more hair left to pull after about half an hour or so and will give up on the game.
Not that it is a terribly bad game - the premise is interesting - but the controls are utterly horrid. The worst I have ever come across, by far. I am so surprised this game was given the go-ahead to be released with the movement as buggy as it was. It really is almost unplayable, although I managed to utterly force myself into finishing the game by a strength of will I didn't know I had (I'd recently promised myself to actually FINISH every single game I start).
The game probably took me about 4 hours longer than it should have due to the character walking somewhere I didn't intend (about 10 times in a row each time). That's one way of adding length to a game :
I'm replaying Discworld II, it's not quite as good as I remember it being but still enjoyable and better than most of the newer games I've played :-X

I spent most of yesterday on this free game and still am not finished. There were some really neat puzzles that I've not come across before. It's interesting that the some most fun I've had with Adventures this past year have been with the freebies - Fool's Errand, Escape from the Room and now In Cubation.

Well, The Fool's Errand was originally a commercial game. Have you tried The Key? I read it has some fiendishly difficult puzzles [smiley=slurp.gif]

Wish I had more time but I'll take whatever I can get. I only loaded up 'Secrets of the Ark' late Friday night and gave a little test run so can't really say if I'll like it. I'm looking forward to an adventure so hope this fills the need. I did like the third installment so that's a start. Happy gaming.

Sounds nice, Taurnil. I also got Everlight a while ago, and it's been on my "to play " list for a while now, so please let us know how you find it. I hope you have returned from your vacation nice and refreshed, ready for a new round of gaming!
Anyway, I am finally busy playing Black Dahliah. It tended to crash a lot on me at first, which did dishearten me; but luckily it seems to crash less now. The story is getting rather interesting now.

| Deleted User | Currently I'm playing Memento Mori. Not too bad so far but it's a pain finding it necessary to save quite often since there are many instances where you have to make a choice regarding your attitude in the responses and you definitely want to see the immediate effect of each one in the game. I'm not really sure what to play next, but perhaps this would be a good time to try Black Dahlia since it's become a game of interest. I'm not sure what the best installment procedure is though. There's one on Inferno's page using a patch (Black Dahlia V.1.10 Update and possibly a slowdown program) but that may not be the most up to date. We'll see. :-/

I still struggled to get the game to play with only Inferno's patches. (I alwyas go to Inferno's list first) There's a fanmade patch that let's you put all the discs onto your hard drive. It worked for me after using that patch.
