Just grab ScummVM, optionally copy The Dig to somewhere on your hard disk, run ScummVM, point it to where the game is, optionally pick a graphic scaler in the options, and off you go. I'd be happy to provide further guidance if you need it.

Abusing a character? I'm not sure if I misremember the game - could you elucidate there, Shany?

His situation kept getting worse while he was forced to lie, steal and beg. If that was supposed to be funny, it wasn't.

| Deleted User | Hmmm, well, -your'e very soft-hearted and nice, Shany. Actually, even I thought that was rather funny, (heck, it could even have been a situation I could've gotten myself into) but I do agree that poor old Watson is treated rather badly in the game. They made him seem a bit too 'doltish' in 'The Awakened' as well, but I think that is to "show up" Sherlock's brilliance - not very well, done, though, I do agree, if you have very sympathetic people in your audience. :
Anyway, at least Sherlock was very graceful about [spoiler midtext]the loss of his medal. Also remember that the original Arsene Lupin is a very mischievous and arrogant character, who loves playing pranks on people.

Also finished The Moment of Silence about a week ago, and Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader before that (took me about a week of dedicated gaming). So my unplayed games pile got reduced about 0.6 percent 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-).
I think I'll finally start Paradise with a clear intention of finishing it this time.

Hate the way Nigel "walks," but I love everything else--all the movement, etc. It never feels as though there is a dead spot. I haven't been frightened yet...but we'll see. I look forward to jumping in every evening I can. My guess is I'm 1/3 of the way through.

I also appreciated the inventory items changing color when you had found out all you could. It cut down on the repetitons.I thought the voice acting was good, and the characters believable, but the best thing was the detailed, colorful background elements. I know there was music, but it was so unobtrusive that I can't specifically remeber it being there. I suppose that's a good thing. I did find it funny, coming off Rhem 2 that I caught myself noticing everything (especially the colors and shapes in the landscape) thinking they may be important. After trying to draw each area, I realised that the bright colors and geometrical shapes were part of the alien atmosphere, not clues to a puzzle. All in all, a well balanced game. I'm glad to have experienced it.

I really liked it a lot, the atmosphere is awesome and the story was one of the best adventure-stories in the last years - from my point of view. The gameplay is really tricky at times, but if you´re looking for great and spooky atmosphere plus a wonderful story, I would definately recommend Dracula 3.

Are you sure there is not a zero that you are typing as an 0, (or the other way around)? Also, you must sometimes include the hyphen (-), and sometimes not.
It would also maybe help if you told us which game it is that you are struggling with.
This kind of question is also better to post into the Help and Hints, or Technical Help forum.

Status : Offline | Thank you for your impressions Lucien on Overclocked & Art of Murder.
I can't disagree with your negative points on Art of Murder - [smiley=hair_pull.gif] - I didn't notice the glaring hint as to who the murderer was until towards the end but it must have spoilt things for anyone more observant. I wondered about the map too - as you never seemed to have a choice so there seemed no point in having it. As for the bad translation/spelling etc - I found it more amusing than anything. But overall I really did like this game & there's another on the horizon which I will definitely buy!
I thought you were a little harsh on Overclocked as far as your score rating went but have to again agree with a lot of the negative aspects you pointed out. There is a way to speed up the slow loading times a tad - can't remember what I did - I think I followed some advice posted by Jenny100 somewhere???? I didn't experience any of the glitches you mentioned but I had to save a lot as the game was prone to crashing a lot!
I did find it easier as the game went on, to logically work out what tape you needed to trigger another patient's memory & they uttered a nice 'mmm' if you got it right!
I wasn't disappointed in the story ending but I was in that it wasn't elaborated on - so it all felt rushed.
I also agree with what you felt about the wife but: [spoiler midtext] maybe at the end, the psychiatrist on being enlightened to the cause of his own violent tendencies led him on the first step to recovery - or somthing like that
Overall I thought this was an interesting game & the idea was pulled off quite well. I would give it at least 7 !

I was a tad harsh on Overclocked, maybe because I was hoping for so much. I really enjoyed their previous game (apart from some dodgy pathfinding) and hoped this would have been an improvement and there was too many glitches and the slow loading times etc just miffed me off.

Status : Online | this year i totally lost faith in adventure gaming... i've only played new releases (plus the two really great freeware series, ben jordan and trilby) and about 80-90% of those (not including the freeware advs) ranged between painful mediocrity (eg so blonde) to bottomless craposity (eg art of murder)... only a couple of advs shined, with first and foremost jack keane
why the prologue? because i wasn't gonna play anything recent, but i decided to start lost crown after all, and my faith is being restored! jonathan boakes is simply in the top adv developers in history, and the lost crown is more proof of that... plus, i bought the uk version of the game with the totally awesome front cover! 8-) (why the hell was it changed for the us version anyway? too scary for walmart? :)... if the other 2 advs that i am looking forward to and expect to be good, abbey and vampyre, indeed turn out this way i may believe there's still hope... otherwise i'll just keep on playing trackmania, at least until culpa innata 2 is released!
