she's either been a very bad girl () or (most probably) accidentaly hit the delete button in profile... the same happened to jannele... i think this button should be removed from the profile... why is it there in the first place? noone wants to delete him/herself, and even if he/she does, he can always ask an admin or a mod to do that... this button MUST be removed

Believe it or not some people do want to delete themselves. But I will concede that is waaay to easy to do that by accident while in the profile screen.

subtle hint? more like flat out telling!
like i said, an admin or a mod can help out anyone who wants to get deleted, there's no reason for others to risk accidental deletion (don't know about medicro, but it definately happened to janelle)

Status : Online | To some, deleting the account gives the same kind of satisfaction as slamming a door real hard! I've read posts here and there, where people complain that they can't delete their accounts themselves, but has to publicly announce they aren't ever setting their foot in that frightful place, even though the account is still valid! So there!
I certainly hope it was just one of those darned mistakes on medicro's part, though... :-/

well yeah you could be right (and i too have seen "goodbye - can't stand you anymore" posts on other forums! :)... so maybe the button should exist, but at least give 30-40 warnings first (are you sure? are you sure you're sure? 100% sure? more sure than you've ever been? etc)... not one click and you're out!

Yes I noticed that too, then thought I must have been mistaken and maybe she wasn't a member in the first place.
Definitely there should be a warning on the delete button, surely she just made a mistake.

A dialog box comes up asking if you are sure you want to delete yur profile before continuing. So there are at least 2 steps ( might be yet another dialog box after that, I didn't have the fortitude to say yes to deletion) to deleting yourself. Accidental deletion seems unlikely.

anyway i would have never tried that so thanx for having the couriage to clear this out... now indeed accidental deletion seems unlikely, still janelle said that she deleted herself by accident (and then she registered again, and now she's deleted again!!!)
