Status : Online | Am I the only one who received an unsolicited email regarding sending ecards to the children of Randy Sluganski (editor in chief of justadventure.com) as they're in the hospital? I'm wondering if it's legitimate or not. If it is, I'll fill in where it says hospital, room number and the URL for the cards.
Here's the text:
My son Randy is back in the hospital again for another 3-week stay for chemo. This time is a little tougher than the last as he knows what to expect this time around, plus his sister (my daughter) is also in the hospital after going into premature labor 2 ½ months early and delivering a 2 lb 6 oz baby girl (Alyssa). The prognosis for the baby is good, but she will have to be in the hospital until late Jan 2008.
Being in and out of the hospital all year and now not being able to visit his new niece is really bringing him down. Your ecards that were delivered to his room during his last hospital stay, really helped to pick up his spirits and I can tell you from firsthand experience that you need to be in a good frame of mind to beat cancer.
So if you can help again by sending an ecard, send one every day if you like, it would really be appreciated. They’re free of charge and you only need to follow the instructions below:
Go to http://xxxxxxxxxxx.com Click on Get Well or Holidays if you prefer Choose a card and then enter the following info below:
Name: Randy Sluganski Hospital: Room #:
Then after entering your name and message (if you wish), click on preview card.
Finally, click on send my card to UPMC.
Thank you.
