Status : Online | ...well, this is how it went....back in January, I came back from Reno to school. I was the first person back to my apartment and the first thing I did was get my computer up and running so that I could DL the Splinter Cell demo....Right when I was about to logon, I grabbed the mouse and it was all greasy on the thumb part (my mouse is the 1st Logitech Mousman Optical Pro that looks like a wedge). I was like, "what the boob!" I thought maybe one of my apartmentmates used it with greasy hands or something and wiped it off...
For the past month or so, there has been a little bubble in the same spot. Now mind you that is is in the soft, squishy plastic of the mouse, not the hard shell. I tried to move it with my fingernail, and it did move. Therefore, yesterday I decided to so some surgery. First, I got a hypodermic needle, stuck it in the plastic, and tried to suck out the stuff. It kind of worked but there was still stuff there. I disassembled the mouse and took off the plastic thumb part. Then I took an Exactoknife(like a scalpel) and made a little incision on the side thing where the thumb button is. This allow me to squeeze the stuff out of the side.
In the end, everything is fine except there is discoloration in the pastic because of the oil. I think the oil is from heat and the plastic disentigrating...
What do you guys and gals think?
