This site provides downloads that adheres to the HTTP 1.1 specification that allows for re-startable downloads. Therefore, if your download stops or is interrupted before it is complete, simply press the begin download button again and the download should resume where it left off. also your account is indeed your email address & password you used to pay in the first place

I want to thank everyone for tryng to help me. It turned out the reason that I was being asked for a password
and user name after the download had started and stopped, was because I did not know we cannot use DAP
or any download accelerator, I really wish that would be put in writing so we know better. Mike wrote me from
stragedyfirst and I found this out, I used up my allowed downloads because of the accelerator. Ok now I have
another problem and looking to my fellow gamers for answers. I live in Ireland and even though I have a broadband
connection stragedyfirst server appears to be very slow, it took 8 hours to download the full game. When I saw the
words "one" I shouted with joy. Only to have my joy shortlived as I saw the next words that took my breath away
in horror " Set up files are corrupted please obtain another copy of the program" Oh dear new friends please will you help
me. I was using opera browser to transfer the files so no acclerator. I use Macaffee firewall that did not give me any problems.
I use Avast virus protection, but I have downloaded many games and never has that been a problem. I know stragedyfirst recommends
not using a firewall or virus protection but that would be computer suicide for 8 hours. Please if anyone else has heard of corrupted
file and knows what I can do so this does not happen again please write me and let me know. I am newbie to this forum, in fact
I confess I have never been on a game forum before only watched behind the scenes many different ones over the years and
this is my favorite forum. People here and game boomers appear to be so friendly. Please can someone advise me again.

Status : Offline | If the setup files are corrupt the game will have to be downloaded again (unless Strategy First can identify a specific corrupt file by its attributes).
Download accelerators are generally never recommended when downloading games. I’ve always found their claims to be somewhat questionable (plus... being on broadband, I don't see any compelling need to use one).
You may have to send them another email however, I'm not sure how they handle this type of issue.

I have checked my download and here are the file sizes I got
( right click on the file and select proprieties )
CulpaInnataSetup
size 1.53 GB (1,647,292,235 bytes)
size on disc 1.53 GB (1,647,292,416 bytes)
I use firefox ,so cannot comment on opera , but if its a different size I guess its corrupt
I'd also check you didn't run the aborted download by mistake ( I always download to the desktop to save hunting for files)
Hope you get it going , it will be worth it honest)

in Culpa Innata next, never had so much trouble downloading a game. Living in Ireland I have to download alot of full games
because Republic of Ireland is the last to get new games it seems. However the download like darkness within has a great server
because it was only half a hour compared to literally 8 hours downloading from stragedyfirst. I will do as you say and DL to another place also.
All who responded thanks for taking the time to write. Surely I can't be the only one to get a corrupted DL? To my new friend who uses firefox browser to DL you did not DL without a firewall and virus protection did you? If this takes 8 hours again, for me that would be commiting computer suicide, too many can drive by and shoot viruses at that length of time. LOL

Status : Online | Thank you so much for taking the time to write me. I live in Ireland so it was a
long time 5 hours to download this game off of a browser because easily lose connections. However I am so happy to tell you all that misery paid off after trying to download the game for 3 days! I am playing it
now and played it the first night for 10 hours straight and I could not believe how fast the hours
went. I highly recommend this game. The storyline makes you feel like you are living in that world.
It would be nice though to have a choice of more clothes to wear for her, as a woman who gets bored easily with the same clothes. LOL
The only question is I have a 20 inch monitor on my laptop how do I set the resolution to the width of my monitor screen? It seems a shame to pay for a large monitor screen and not be able to use it.

Your video driver should allow you to do this - I use both ATI and nVidia graphics processors (on two separate laptops) each allows this to be done. Your basic choices are: scaling or fixed aspect ratios.
The image may look a bit distorted towards the edges of the screen, but it's tolerable on most games.
This is a wide screen 20" right?

I downloaded the game yesterday from Strategy First. It is on my computer but it says "the setup files are corrupted".
The problem is I tried to re-download many times, using both the Open and Save as options, but now I can't download anymore because I tried more than 5 times, which is the limit number of downloads (which i didn't know before, otherwise i would not have clicked so many times!)
I wrote them an e-mail and am waiting for their response...
Does anyone have a suggestion?? I don't want to have to rebuy it.

Status : Offline | They will reset the download count, you won't have to repurchase it - Also, read the information above concerning download accelerators. If you use one, disable it.
