Companions? Well, my internet buddies would be welcome to visit but I've never met a game character I liked enough to hang out with. Usually their conversation BORES me to tears.
And I'd have linking books to all the other Myst worlds. That'd be fun. I'd probably bump into SirDave there somewhere. He'd have Aya tied up and screaming blue murder trying to solve one of the more mechanical puzzles and complaining about the solitude or something.... [smiley=devil_smiley_grintail.gif]

And Kyrandia.. Actually, there were plenty of rich worlds in adventure games that just asked for exploration. There are very few today..

I'd visit the three great mythical cities depicted in The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time - Atlantis, El Dorado and Shangri-La.

I'd visit Haven to study the animals, and I'd go to Spire to go down that marvelous tunnel slide. I'd also drop by Serenia once in a while to play with the bubbles, listen to the music, and maybe explore some of the other islands.

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Yeah, but if you're writing books like Atrus, you just write yourself some more leafy trees. That's true. We haven't seen the Toilet Paper Tree Age yet. Or the Lavatory Age, with its acres and acres of Art Deco style toilet stalls.

which place would you choose to live in? which places would you travel to? who would you choose to be your friends? whom would you do business with? who would you avoid like the plague? who would you want to be your boy/girlfriend? or your husband/wife? what would be your favorite method of transportation? favorite past time? etc etc... all taken from adventure games, but while you are still you, not assuming some other characters' identity I wouldn't mind adventuring with McGee's Alice and that Cheshire Cat, would be sooo cool.

I'd find many adventure game locations interesting to visit, but I'm not sure about living in most of them. I'd definitely want access to one of Atrus' collections of books so I could visit all the worlds of the Myst games at any rate.
Favorite transportation: the time travel suit from the Journeyman Project series. I'd never be late for anything again! Not to mention being able to go anywhere and anywhen. (Is that a word? Guess it is now.)
Girlfriend: If there would be a real life Grace Nakimura, I'd definitely want to meet her. She's intelligent, and has a wry sense of humor I appreciate.

Status : Offline | I will echo the comments that the Myst locales would be nice to stay. Etheria (King's Quest 7) would be a lovely spot, but I would be afraid of falling off a cloud! Maybe I'd just stick to Daventry.
I would NOT want to hang out with Laura Bow, because anytime she goes somewhere, everybody dies before the night is over. And Nancy Drew would always be gone somewhere solving a mystery, or getting me involved somehow! Adventuring with Indiana Jones would be fun, if a bit dangerous. 8-) Travel the world, check out cool and ancient artifacts, battle a few Nazis. Good times.
