Due to the success of last week's game and my lack of time to think of anything new, this week is the same formula as last but with a different subject matter.

Above are 50 scanned fragments of game boxes. The goal is to match the scans from the front of the boxes to the scans of the back of the boxes. This means that there are two shots each from a total of 20 games. The remaining 10 shots are imposters to make things a little more difficult.

Scoring is the same as last week except that I've put a cap on the total guesses this time.

5 points for guesses 1-20
3 points for guesses 21-25
1 point for 26-30
0 points for 31+

Bastich Instant Win #4: One of the imposters has been randomly chosen as an instant winner. You can submit one guess per day for this and the first, if anyone, to correctly identify it will win a game to be claimed at the end of the contest per the tournament rules.

Send guesses by forum PM or by email (agtournament@comcast.net) ONLY!!

Don't forget to check the Official Tournament Info thread for any general tips and guidelines and Good Luck!

I assume they are all from US covers as covers can vary wildly from country to country.

Sometimes they vary within the same country as well. That's part of the challenge.

US covers should be everyone's first place to check though. I'll give you that.

Like last week, there's no need to identify the game or which cover is the front and which is the back, right?

So, just like last week, the answers consist of numbers only, right?

- edit - oops, Gonchi's question wasn't here when I started typing

are any of the imposters from the same game as a pair? meaning, could there be 1 front from us version and then 1 back us and 1 back uk from the same game and you have to match the us ones?

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

No. The pictures are from the exact same game box.

There isn't any real sneakiness this week. None of the imposters are from any of the games that you are trying to find. The imposters are just there to make it harder to guess randomly.

If you find a back and cover that match, you have the correct answer.

This week's Instant Win goes to Gonchi, so there is no need to submit guesses for it anymore.

Thanks Lady Kestrel.

This challenge has actually been very frustrating for me. Pretty much every time I've realized or identified one of the fragments it's turned out to be one of the impostors, so I'm glad to have at least guessed which one had the Bastich Instant Win reward.

Another nice idea, to try to identify box covers rather than the usual screenshots.

This isnt an easy one for me either, as I´ve have identified most of the game covers that have no match... wasted time.

All answers are posted. I got all the covers from Mobygames with the exception of Serpent's Star so look there for full shots.

Here is The Serpent's Star:

Oops... time for new glasses.

The instant win was #22, Ringworld's back cover.
