I know Gametap started Myst Online: Uru Live back in Feb this year so sorry if this is partly old news. But I'm wondering if anyone is immersed online in Uru. Is it worth it to pay $7 to $10 (US) per month to Gametap to play it? I think it's worth it for the multiplayer experince, the chatting with them and solving puzzles and so forth with real players online.

I've played Uru off and on since 2003 and was lucky enough to play it online for four wonderful weeks in Jan 2004 right up until the plug was pulled in late Jan or early Feb of 2004. It was free then. I even played it online when it was revived about a year later with some semi private servers. It cost about $5 (US) to buy a numbered key for it. Also I still enjoy the singleplayer every now and then.

Now that it's on Gametap it seems to run well as far as not very many slowdowns in movement. And I'm wondering have the graphic textures been lowered in some way to make the game run smoother on Gametap? Of course that may not be as important as gameplay. And Gametap working with the developer(s) and publisher(s) and whoever else have created new game content. That's right, there are more *ages* or new levels and new story lines with more puzzles.

It sounds to me like this is your game.
So of course it's worth the $7 to enjoy yourself.  How many hours entertainment does that $7 buy you?  How quickly would you use up that $7 in a bar or cinema or other form of entertainment?

I tried to participate in the free trial but despite them saying Australia was online it never worked for me.  Pity.

My sons both pay $8AUD each month to play an English online game which they and their classmates all adore.  They also love the interaction with players around the world.  I say play on and enjoy!
