One thing interesting about MOE is that nowhere on the box does it say King's Quest 8.  It is related to King's Quest in only two ways:
1) Daventry is one of the locations
2) Castle Daventry itself, which features the magic mirror and King Graham.

Actually, a friend of mine has the (localized) French version of MoE, and guess which number is on the box... Besides, the words 'King's Quest' and 'Sierra' on the (English) box are a definite link to the KQ-series.

I gave it a try with a god mode cheat and rather enjoyed the first world and into the second. But there was so much combat in the swamp that I had to end it. If theres enough adventure then I'll play with a cheat, Outcast was an amazing game in that way...enough adventure and story to cheat through the action. It's not that I mind action, I wish I was good at it, but I'm not.

I have never played any of the Kings Quest games, but it dosent sound like Ill be trying KQ8, in your opinions,
which KQ's are the ones to play.

I think you will like KQ6 the best if you like love stories.

I really like the music, atmosphere, and the virtual environment in the king quest MoE.  it is the first game I ever bought and played.

but I really disappointed the puzzles, lack of stories or interactive characters, and the ending.  I did not play  much games like this.  though I tried diablo i &II, Balder's gates, I don't really like them.  either they are just click fest, without much skills, or the atmosphere and the environment sucks, which is where king's quest MoE impressed me very much.
another example is Oni, which failed everything that King's Quest succeed, except that the game has really impressive fighting system rather click fest.

I do want to see the remake of the King's quest MoE, in today's technology with  a much better puzzles, a more controllable attacking mode, like you could contol Connon to do things like the game "Oni" did, and more developed story and endings.  with its original killer music, and the atmosphere, the game would be beat anything in the market.

I prefer action adventure, but nowadays, the games fall to this genre are either lacking stories, or lacking good atmosphere.  very sad.  I really want to see a improved kings' quest MoE!!
