Just for curiosity, this topic was created to show us the adventure games collection of everyone in JA forum. My suggestion to JA staff is put this one on the "important topics" area.

Every time you grab a new adv, remember to update your list.

I know something like this has been done at least once before. Let's try to find that thread and add to it if possible. People even had pics of their collections in that other thread. If no one can find it, then we can proceed in this thread.

I couldn't find the really old one this morning and I have to go out in a few mins. But I did find one that had some great pics from Wimli and a list by jamarchand. We can continue in this current thread and if I find any others, I will post the links to those threads here for viewing purposes only.

Older adventure collection threads for viewing:

Continue to post your lists and pics in the thread we are reading right now.

Geesh, you guys have all your games so neat, tidy, organized AND in easy-to-find places. Mine are in boxes, crates, closets, desks, dressers, chests and amoires here at home with a bunch more in storage. It would take me several full days to track them all down, sort, stack in groups, inventory and list.

Last count though was approaching 500 total boxed retail titles - but that inlcudes all the genres. For PC AGs, I'd guess around 100 or so plus quite a few action-adventure hybrids.

Cheers,  Terry

There's something rather obsessive about people who a) know which games they own and b) keep them neatly stacked on a shelf (probably in alphabetical order).

I prefer the shambles method myself.  Some in the wardrobe, some on the shelf, some on the TV, some in their boxes, some on my desk, some in jewel cases, some in paper.  Higgledy piggledy....

I own more than I've played which means I have some good ones lined up...

Perhaps that's true.
In comparision to many other adventure gamers I don't own that many games, but I'm working on it. I don't keep them in alphabetical order since I like to keep series together.
Keeping them on a shelf also gives me the opportunity to watch my collection get bigger and bigger by each month.

I am also one of those people who keep my games here, there, and everywhere. My only excuse is that maybe that will change when I have my own place along with a career and some idea of where my life is headed (I am currently a poor grad student). The only good thing about keeping them everywhere is that sorting through random boxes, I often find games I thought I had lost forever and thus replaying them feels a little fresher than it might otherwise. Because of how disorganized I am, this is a very partial list and not alphabetized in any way. However, I do find everyone else's lists fascinating, b/c they often show what kind of games someone likes. Maybe people could put a short phrase about their preferred types so if someone else also likes those kinds of games, they could look at the list for possible games to buy in the future. Just an idea. My favorites are third-person, mouse driven, 2D adventures and I prefer a little humor mixed in (probably comes from the fact that my 2nd and 3rd adventure games were Broken Sword followed by Curse of Monkey Island).

Shortly after I signed up at Gamespot, I spent a couple hours one evening running all over the house, tallying up my games so I could add them to my profile.  I update it everytime I get something new.

I do that with books.  I log their details into my pc before they make the bookshelf but I'm nowhere near as methodical about my pc games.  I do try to keep the unplayed games in roughly the same spot.
