I think actually it was in the late 1960's or early 1970's.

Yea, that would be before my time for sure (born 1975)

I forgot my sig.

I remember it caused quite a stir in New Zealand in the papers, people thought it hillarious.

Ah yes, back when Mia had long blonde hair - quite the looker back then.

But, then so was Diana Riggs and Barbarella (Fonda)...

What?

Yeah but she (Mia) chopped it off towards the end of Peyton Place from memory  and I think it was after that that she was arrested - drunk and resisting arrest so they said - in I think Picadilly Circus or somewhere similar in London.  Told the police to F**** off.

She always looked so sweet and innocent too!!

When she said that it was the nicest thing you could wish anyone, she was actually answering the judge when asked why she used such a word.

Oh Dianna Riggs, in New Zealand back then there was only Black & White TV, I always thought she had black hair but I think its auburn isn't it?   She certainly was a stunner.

Don't quite know what this has got to do with TLJ?

Yes she did - My father loved her... and as I recall, so did I...

Yep - Dianna was (and probably still is) quite the stunner.

It has nothing to do with TLJ (but don't worry about that... You're going to love the game).

What?

Started this game at last.  Tend to agree with Gamer regarding the dialogue but doesn't bother me too much. Don't actually have the "feel" of the game as yet and the only puzzle I've done so far is the machine one near the boarding house.

Well, lets just say - you've got a long way to go to get to the end.

You'll enjoy it though.

What?

If you allow me...I'd say too much unnecessary yak, yak, yak...But you can always press "esc"

Anyway, Narji, IMO most of the puzzles are very interesting, and the story gets much better (it didn't captured me at the beginning either)  It's definitely worth a play.

But...it will be a very, very long journey

I totally agre with Arnir. This game had lots of unnecessary elements(cussing, lesbians). If those elements were'nt used, the game would have easily gotten an E rating instead of an M which would in turn bring more sales and appeal to most people.

One time I was at best buy and I saw a mother looking for a game for her children, she picked up tlj and read the esrb rating. She immediatly put it down and continued her shopping.

Im not all against cussing and lesbians. But if the game could go without them then I say leave them out.

Deleted UserI'm not sure I agree that the game should get rid of cursing. Should we limit the artistical freedom of the developers and make the game kids-friendly just for the case of sales and the conservative opinions of an adult minority? I think not. And as for the lesbians, using this as a reason to change the rating of the game is an insult to homosexuals everywhere. I don't know what ESRB says about lesbians, but if they even consider it as an issue, I must say that I think they're narrow-minded. I've always viewed TLJ as an adult adventure game, just like the Gabriel Knight series or Leisure Suit Larry, and I think I'm not alone in appreciating that there are such games around.

Hey Narji, Sennebec and Malia, I thought you women liked a lot of yak, yak, yak.....

Just thought I'd throw that in there since this is the Hot Spot and it hasn't been very hot lately!

The future ain't what it used to be!

I can only speak for myself, but I dislike nonsense yak, yak, yak (or bla, bla, bla) in games and real life as well.
So I guess I don't fit your woman stereotype

Sorry I can't help   :
(Mmh, maybe I will later, when I feel like yaking

Fit? But... but... you can't do that! People are not supposed to break stereotypes! Especially not stupid stereotypes

Well, yeah, that's another problem. People like you are doing great disservice to the "dumb blonde" stereotype! I know some other suspiciously smart blondes too...

Are the books in the library referred to by another poster in the game or books from real libraries about TLJ storyline? I forget if there are many books you can read in the game, it's been a long time since I played it.

Yeah i have the same question!!
Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

Deleted UserYes, there was a library with books to read in the game. They gave you the backstory about some things you needed to do later, and opened up a few necessary dialogue options.

Right.  The books in the library gave background, told some tales and did give some information.  Some had nothing to do with the plot but were just fun for me.

That hallway drove me insane! Wasn't there a cartridge at the end and a window? So it did serve a purpose. Just an unbelievably long journey. I can still here the footsteps!

We can be heroes, just for one day.
