Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

Probably read more adventure forums instead of just this one too.

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Status : Online | Reading and music are more for relaxing your brain. Myself, if I didn't have an adventure game to stimulate my brain, I would start doing a jigsaw puzzle, work in my puzzle books, play Scrabble or word games. And other things that would MENTALLY stimulate my brain, so it doesn't go 'stale'............

Status : Offline | Jigsaws are great fun, don't really know if they are mentally stimulating - hadn't thought about that before. We had some real doozies but they were so large that even with a really large table they were hard to do. Also because our large table is highly polished they rather messed it up. We had thought at one time of getting a huge board and putting it on top of the pool table (don't have one anymore), but of course like all good ideas it just didn't happen. Anyway my husband, son & wife and daughter & husband would have rather played snooker or pool, so I was sort of out voted there.
You are probably right about books, I read them for relaxation more than anything.
Playing the piano is my other thing I guess (badly I might add), again I'm not sure if its mentally stimulating or just a relaxation.
Actually trying to answer or write posts in this forum is quite mentally stimulating at times I'm sure for most people - me anyway!
Playing scrabble is really something you cannot do by yourself unfortunately, but its certainly stimulating for "the little grey cells". I had Lexicon on the computer and after reading Belinda's remarks about Scrabble, looked for it and its B**** well gone!!!
Well I'm going to have dinner, so I've gone too.

Narji, I do enjoy jigsaw puzzles to, but they are such a pain, they take up so much space, Im trying to remember where I saw this pad that you can do puzzles on and then when your finished for the time being you can just roll it up and all the pieces stay in place, when you ready to work on it some more, you just roll it out. I was just looking at some puzzles today at the store and could kick myself for not buying that "pad" when I saw it, been having the itch to work on one.

| Deleted User | Being a programmer, my work involves a lot of abstract thinking, concentration and problem-solving (I create some of the problems myself... ). I'm sure there are many other lines of work that present such challenges.
I read a lot of mysteries and other literature with surprise endings, and I always try to figure out the solution before it's revealed. (I usually get it right, too! ) So it's possible to exercise your brain with fiction books.
