Don't say world peace....   :

I mean, what trivial day-to-day event pleases you and lifts your mood?

Personally I'm happy right now.

So, I'll go first.  I feel happy when I get to go walking with my dear little Greek friend because we talk so much.

And naturally, I feel deeply chuffed when I have a stash of Haighs chocolate in my drawer.  I think I'll stop talking about chocolate since I've just eaten the last of my dark peppermint pastilles and it's past Haighs' closing time....
... which means I may not be feeling so happy later on this evening!

That's very kind of you, Caroline. I too enjoy our walks a lot.

I think it's kinda weird, but the thing I enjoy most of all is the one thing I may eventually dread:  having the house to myself.

When my daughter is at a friend's house or her dad's and my bf is gone for the day, it heaven knowing I can sit around without feeling guilty for not doing something.  To be able to ignore laundry, cooking, and cleaning for a day is wonderful!  Plus, I don't have to share the tv!

My name is Bethany and I'm the daughter of Gamergal/Michelle.

.

For me it's waking up in my own bed on one of those rare days when there's no work to do and nothing special planned - when I realize it is entirely up to me whether to roll over and drift back off to sleep or get up and lounge around or whatever else I feel like doing. No rush. No pressure. 100% my choice. It's just a brief moment in time, a fleeting feeling but it always gives me a wonderful sense of both complete freedom and security.

Usually, because the outside world always seems to intrude, the rest of the day goes downhill from there.

Cheers,  Terry

Having nothing to do but read and play games makes me happy. If I'm all alone in the house, all the better. I also like the freedom of taking off and driving to some mall, shop or the cinema on a whim, always by myself and always with my favorite music blaring in the car.

Well, working in my flower beds and going to the greenhouses is something I really enjoy, its almost like therapy for me.

Heading up to bed with a good book is great, especially on a cold winter night when I dont have to get up for work the next day.
And like you Michelle, though I dread the day my boys leave home in the next few years, and as much as I dont like that my husband sometimes travels alot for work I DO enjoy having the house to myself sometimes.
And just kicking back and playing a good game tops the list too.

Those late evenings when Jen calls, says she's stuck having dinner with some guys named Anthony and InlandAZ as part of a charity raffle they won, and then, just when I think I'm going to be all alone, Paris and Lindsay call and ask if I'll rehab with them.

i like chocolate...
and playing computer games...
and bubble baths...

but not at the same time.
My goal in life is to be as good of a person as  my dog already thinks I am.&&&&The measure of civility in a society is not how it treats those that are loved, but how it treats those that are hated.

I don't personally care if I found a ticket at the bottom of my Cracker Jacks box - we're talkin about Jen... ohhhh myyyy

You can keep the other two jail birds (too much trouble for an older, somewhat less mature kind of guy like myself - I'd only end up in jail with them).

What?

I tell you what makes me feel super happy.  A big empty blue sky  -  like today.   And NOT having to spend my life inside an air conditioned office.  Gosh, just walking across the car park at uni, seeing that blue sky between the huge gum tress.... wonderful.    I can do winter.... so long as the sky stays blue.
