Status : Offline | let's build an anticipatometer! post the 3 adventure games that you are mostly anticipating in order of anticipation (1st being the highest of course)... from each person's list, the 1st game will get 5 pts, the 2nd 3 pts and the 3rd 1 pt... you can change your lists along the way if you want, but make sure you post and make me aware of this so i can change the scores (you can't change your lists more than once a week!)... if you don't post mentioning the change and just edit your old post, i probably won't see it
3 rules apply: 1. the game must be in the making... ie gabriel knight 4 doesn't count! 2. if the game has been released in english somewhere in the world, it's considered released and cannot be anticipated, even if it's not been released somewhere else yet (eg english ppl would probably have kept runaway in this list for 3-4 years after its original release! ) 3. keep it adventure ONLY... ie no silent hill 5s or alone in the darks
+ oh, and developers cannot, of course, vote for their own game! (sorry for the lost 5 pts alkis and ivinia!)
IMPORTANTE: when you want to change your top 3, do NOT edit the old post... instead, make a new post including both your old top 3 and your new one... that is the only way i can be subtracting the pts from the removed games easily and with no mistakes
as soon as a game is released in english, it will be removed from the list
my current list:
1. culpa innata 2. diamonds in the rough 3. a vampyre story
You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

i had forgotten about gray matter and loath nolder... both those two are highly anticipated by me... made things harder now :-/

[smiley=laughing.gif] No sweat... My game is after all an underdog, hopefully when it comes out it will be a pleasant surprise for everyone.
My votes:
1. Gray Matter 2. Culpa Innata 3. The Exchange Student: Episode 2 (and more?)
Can I give a negative vote to Black Mirror 2?

[smiley=rofl.gif] I was going to cry foul if you voted for yourself!!
Let's see here, for me:
1] The Lost Crown (C'mon...it's Jonathan Boakes and paranormal goodness!) 2] Operation Wintersun (As a WWII buff, I really want to play this one.) 3] Stonewall Penitentiary (Chris Brendell is an excellent writer. I'm anxious to see what he has come up with this time around especially considering he now has a team working on this next one.)
There are a lot of good games coming down the pipe like Vampyre Story, Black Mirror 2, Tunguska 2, Grey Matter, etc. but they all seem like rehashes of old stuff and nothing really new.  on't mean to take away from these titles and they will probably be excellent games, but I'm not exactly about to wee in my pants over them. :-/
Maybe its just my current mood but right now I'm wanting something a bit different from the norm and the three I have chosen seem to qualify as different. I'm on the fence with Diamonds in the Rough because I'm not a big fan of heavy dialog, but the story and concept do indeed sound different.

I'm not aware of this expression, what does it mean? DITR does not feature heavy dialog in all honesty, perhaps more than the average title but overall the introduction is the exception to the rule.

It means undecided. It's like two properties being separated by a fence and you are sitting on it. You can go one way or the other but until you decide which way to go, you are on the fence.

and btw, to him without taste, black mirror 2 is gonna rule, just like the first one did!

I have to admit I'm baffled by the strong following Black Mirror has generated. It was game with a lot of potential that, at least to my mind, didn't live up to it by half. I'd hope the sequel overcomes the deficiencies of the first game, but I'm not holding my breath.
