Weirdness aside, good for you Michelle, looking out for your daughter and the neighbor's girls. Who knows what this guy might have eventually gotten into his sick head to do?

He's been bailed out, but they are keeping him anyway for his own safety. AND because one of the girls is so traumatized she now sleeps with her mom and her doctor put her (temporarily) on sleeping medications and nerve pills.
Did I mention that the neighbors girls have a very LARGE older brother with very large friends who are pacing back and forth in front of his house, just waiting for him to get out? And my bf is to be notified immediately upon his release as well--he's got some well placed contacts himself. Sometimes it's nice to have friends in low places (especially when one of them is a cop who already said, "I didn't see a thing" in advance.)

That usually means he can't be sentenced for a prison term longer than one year. He could be out and doing the same thing in a few months. Unless, the arrest triggers a suspended sentence on one of his priors--the 2006 assault or 2005 forgery raps. :-?
Michelle, why not call the prosecutor assigned to the case and find out what kind of prison term they will be looking for and urge him/her to make it as long as possible?
Then again, you may prefer the big brothers with the baseball bats.

Well, they are not *cough* ugly
The good news is that his bond was raised today to $15,000 (I believe that's right....I know it went up quite a bit), which prevents his elderly grandmother from getting him out.
AND the police are using every bit of influence they have to get him listed on the sex offender registry, which actually has a chance of working since there are four witnesses. If that happens, they will force him to move because he'll be too close to a school.
BOOYAH!!
In the meantime, I can only hope that he is having forced nightly encounters of a romantic nature with a very large, very mean man who is not currently not privy to any type of lotion products.

I am very glad Michelle that you caught this guy peeping through your window. The good thing as well is that you caught him before he very likely escalated to more than just peeping through windows. He will very likely continue doing this or he may eventually take a more personal and determined role in getting himself sexually excited and satisfied. That means coming into a home, a playyard, a school, a shopping area and very likely abducting a small child even in the company of their parents.
He will not only have to be kept an eye on, but he also needs to have his picture and history, of work and social life scrutinized by others to keep perpetual track of him. It is unfortunate that some may think that his rights are being violated by being stalked himself, but unfortunately his wereabouts may need to be stablished at all times.
Individuals like this one unfortunately can become a parent's worst knightmare. Since there is no known method of curing their desires to be sexually excited by small children, and since he might possible escalate his needs to seek satisfaction for his sexual needs, their is the large likelihood that he may become predatory, and unfortunately court orders are not enough.
His wereabouts have to be constanly monitored by the community, and not just by the police, but his contacts as well need to be monitored in case he decides to become predatory or worst even, move out of the area.
Since he knows the area he could return when parents in your neighborhood are not expecting him to appear, and even worse he will come into a new neighborhood, town, or city and not have the parents and children know his proclivity towards sexually stalking small children....
He needs to be sentenced and written up for what he is......a possibly dangerous small child danger. There are two types of individuals who can be a bane on small children and their families.....
The one who genuinely likes children and would simply desire to be either sexually satisfied by spying on them, exposing himself and maybe having sexual contact with the child without hurting them.....
And then you have the one who desires to be sexually satisfied by spying on them, exposing himself and then........
having sexual contact with the child and afterwards hurting them, kidnapping them and or killing them to hide his crime.....
He will never change and he is an ever danger on children........
Sorry.....but by my book......I sometimes wish that this was a third world country.......
Where the parents and the villagers go after him, grab him and bury him..................ALIVE!

Status : Online | wow... michelle... that is amazing. but seriously, GOOD FOR YOU for doing something about it. i was just having (too many) drinks with a friend this evening and chatting about the sheer obnoxiousness of people simply not caring any more. I recently called the cops when i heard a guy beating up his girlfriend in my apartment building. there were plenty of other people in the building and it had thin walls, but the cops said that i was the only one who called for help, and he probably would have killed her. so sad.)
anyhoo... kudos...
