The angles inside the arch make me think it might be real time 3D rather than a 2.5D point-and-click. Prerendered backgrounds would have a smooth arch. The TAC page description says "Full 3D environments using Virtools® technology" though I don't know how much stock we can put in a TAC description.

That's one tasty looking game - I played a similar looking game recently (can't recall the name - Survival Horror type IIRC)

Status : Online | I'm looking forward to this game. I love pirates, I love the theme and feel in general, and I'm up for any adventure game at all. The only criticism I have currently is that the color palette is pretty blah, a lot of muted tones in the screenies.
Then again, it does seem to be going for the storm-at-dawn look, so I suppose it does fit. Still, I love color and lots of it.
Now Playing: The Longest Journey, Psychonauts&&Just Purchased: Safecracker, Nibiru, Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express, Dreamfall&&Just Finished: Syberia, Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave&&Wishlist: Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek, Syberia 2

It isn't point & click but it is still a great looking adventure game.

Status : Online | the game is controlled with WASD for walking around and you handle the items with the arrow keys. Well, not sure with the arrow keys and items but you do something with the arrow keys, that i know. The graphic is pretty weak and I get the feeling they try to do something like chtuhlu dark corners of blabla but in 3rd person...and worst graphics. well, i gonna try it next week when my friend gets his copy. I just wanna get my hands on Reprobates :-*

I agree with you too. I have never found a point and click game I couldn't play and I have a couple of others that I have given up on that were just too much of a problem for me to play. I play them for the story and puzzles and I don't enjoy them when I have to fight the control system. What I hate most in all games is having to waist an hour or two just trying to figure out how to get from one point to another. This is a puzzle I can do without. LOL

You obviously never tried to play The Daedalus Encounter - what a disaster.

I think I'll wait as well - couldn’t find what I went out for this weekend and ended up picking up Order of the Phoenix - the developers ought to be shot... But... that's what I get for not checking out the reviews.
Hope this one turns out to be as good as it looks.

Your right, never heard about that one. Was it a good game with a good story or what?
