The only other one I can think of if Caroline or the kids order biscuits - and get biscuits.

Yesh. Under threat of legal action, she must run all the heinous pictures past me and I have first rights to sign off on them. You'll get plenty of the Carolinians.

So, does anyone want anything? A Mickey Mouse head? A Pixar pixel? A piece of whatever Caroline's children tear up?

And where is it? Is it in Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, or Frontierland?

None of them but the Queen Mary is docked in the greater LaLaLand area.
Cheers, Terry

I guess if the Carolinians want to check it out, I'll go.
But I'd rather ride Dumbo.

Got in to Los Angeles yesterday and the San Andreas fault still hasn't ruptured so I guess California will be strong enough to sustain a visit from 'the Carolinians'.
We spent our last English pound coins on chocolate at Heathrow and the LA customs chappie described chocolate as 'pure love'. There you go, romance and descernment in a uniform. (nice looking bloke too..... )
It's very hot and sticky here which makes a nice (I think) change from the wet and cool summer we've had in England. I've just bought sun cream.
I'm downloading photos right now to find the happy snaps I took in London when I met up with Alan Thorne and Snowtime (and his delightful wife).
Lucien Edinburgh was visually amazing - but the parking was impossible !!!
When I get home and have the time on my own pc I'll post some photos - not all of them feature umbrellas.

Had to look up "delict" as I was not familar with it. It is a term that the civil law countries (e.g., France, Germany etc.) use to describe conduct which causes injury to another.
Now "tort", I recall from law school. It is a type of cake.

My personal favorite is the Strawberry Pop Tort, followed closely by Cinnamon.

I heartily recommend it. Very pretty. Very clean. Very well run. Fantastic staff. Great rides. Junk food everywhere.
I'm totally exhausted with staying out late, walking all day and starting early..... loved the water rides..... closed my eyes on the drops.... impressed my kids with my bravery... still managed to miss a few rides that I wanted to do. Two days not really long enough.
Next comes the worst ride of all..... the 15 hour plane flight home. Really, they ought to look into the possibiilty of moving Australia slightly to the right....

Glad to hear you enjoyed the trip Caroline and have a safe flight back to Oz.
Next time, try DisneyWorld in Orlando, Florida and the [s]MGM[/s] Universal Studios theme park just down the road. Together they are truly awesome. Add SeaWorld, some beach / water sports, a little sailing plus a round of golf at Arnold Palmer's nearby Bay Hill Country Club and you're in real-world gamer's heaven.
Cheers, Terry

I rode two very scary rides. A dragon roller coaster in Legoland that I totally freaked on. Hated every second. And the bobsleds on the Matahorn in Disneyland that I was stupid enough to do and kept my eyes tightly shut all the way through ....
The [s]slash[/s] splash mountain in Disney was fine until the end and I had to close my eyes on the 50 ft drop.... didn't get too wet because I had the sense to sit behind my husband. My son in the front got off completely drenched and laughing his head off.
As for the rest - I do the tame stuff. The soaring over California imax experience was terrific because they lift you off the floor and tilt your chairs. Great fun.
And the rapid rides was great and we all dried off in the intense heat afterwards. Overall, we found there was more to do than we had time for. There wasn't a single ride we went on that disappointed us.
I'm still hyped up. I intend to wear my Minnie Mouse ears to college next week. :

I had ridden this ride (The Dragon in the area of the Legoland park known as Knight's Kingdom) with Caroline's sons (the oldest one first, and then both). We (the kids and I) finally talked Caroline into riding and she and her hubby were right behind me. When we took that first drop, I glanced back at Caroline. She did not look happy. She almost had a Shrek-like pallor. Oh, dear.

You rode that one without me first, but I rode it again with the kids. It really is a classic (but bumpy) coaster ride.

Great fun. It really was. It only lifts you off a few feet off the floor, but it is a foot-tingling experience. It's one of the best soaring simulators around.
Originally Posted By Caroline - World Traveller (20 JUL 2007 4:53pm) There wasn't a single ride we went on that disappointed us. I'm so happy to hear that, Caroline. Towards the end of the evening, we had to make choices, and Caroline's youngest wanted to ride Space Mountain.
But I wanted to nudge (okay, pitch a hissy fit) the Carolinians to ride a couple of Disneyland Classics that I knew the kids may not enjoy, but Caroline might.
One was the Storyland Canal Boats and our last ride of the evening, it's a small world. Those rides were a very pleasant way to end an exciting and exhausting two days at Disneyland and California Adventure parks.

She also got a glittery, sequined set of Minnie ears for those black-tie, formal evening-wear occasions.
My favorite "thrill" ride? Riding California Screamin' with Caroline's oldest son. We hooted and hollered throughout that ride. I would say it's one of California's best coasters.
We all enjoyed The Indiana Jones ride. When that immense round rock comes rolling towards you, it really is freak-out time. Loved it, loved the theming - loved everything about it.
I had a wonderful time, and Caroline and her family were so sweet. 'course, I was like a horrid child that had tantrums when I didn't get my way, but they didn't leave me. Maybe they should have sometimes.
