Status : Online | Although I am a big fan of FMV and Zehlengrom looks really good, I am hesitant to buy the game due to the fact that it can only be ordered through the net and under bad conditions. Read the shipping instructions and you will understand what I mean:
******************************************** What shipping should I choose?
Standard International Shipping (SIS) This is the real budget option. You save hard earned dollars or Euros, and you wait a little longer (about a week in most countries). Your product will be delivered by your post office/post man and 99.9% of time this will be safe and good enough. There are no insurance cost included in SIS so if your package is lost in the mail (low low risk but still) you took a calculated risk and lost. Then what?
Expedited International Shipping (EIS) This will cost you a little more than SIS and you will receive your purchased items a lot faster, still it is on a budget level. As with SIS the regional standards of shipping to the destinations that Federation X currently delivers to are so good that the risks involved are kept to an absolute minimum. Still, there are no insurance cost included in EIS so If your package is lost in the mail (not likely, but it could happen) you took a risk and had a very bad luck. Then what?
Recommended International Shipping (RIS) This is a fairly expensive option, but if you really want play it safe this is the option to choose. You will receive what you ordered as fast as is possible with priority mail. On top of that your envelope will be insured and you will be able to pick it up at your local post office. If your package is lost somewhere along the way from us in Sweden to your place, we will send you a new package, pronto. No problem.
Something bad happened. What if my SIS/EIS package never arrives? Well, if you are one of the extremely unlucky 0.01% chances are that if you just hang in there for a while your package will eventually turn up. This is what you do: Check the estimated time of delivery for your destination add two working days for picking, packing and handling and add a week for Murphys Law, toot ache and sick leave. Then drop us a mail at customerservice@federationx.com. Attach your receipt (the one you saved when you ordered – remember we asked you to) an tell us your package hasn’t arrived.
Then what? We will add another 30 days (yes) and put you on our watch list. If your package still hasn´t turned up after 30 days (we’ll check with you), we will send you an e-mail in which you swear by the legal word that you’re not attempting to fool us. Then we will ship you once more and charge you $ 10, which means you will get your next package delivered by RIS, fully insured and with a tracking number attached to your package. Why? Because lightning strikes twice, compadre. If you’ve had bad luck once, chances are you will again. Second time around you don’t want to be hit by bad luck again, do you? Well, neither do we. *********************************************
I don't feel like I am treated respectfully as a customer and I am given no guarantee in most of the cases that I will receive my game fast and if I don't that I will be compensated.
So I am not going to buy this game until it hits the stores, or it is possible to buy it with little added cost and full guarantee. It is really a pity cause I was looking forward to this one.

I will write to Michi and make sure that she looks at this thread when she registers for the forum. She will be away for a few days (reason for her delay in joining us) but I hope that we will see her early next week.

Status : Online | Hmmm, well this is bad news for me. I ordered a copy on Oct. 8th and have yet to receive it, 2 weeks later. I'll give it another week before I really get worried. I used the SIS shipping which may not have been the best idea. >

You can always dispute the charge with your credit card company if you don't receive the item.
Sometimes packages get hung up in customs and can take longer than normal to arrive. I once had a music CD take 7 weeks to get to me from the UK, when the usual time was about a week. But usually a credit card company will give you at least 2 months after purchase as a deadline to complain. And that is enough time for a game to get through customs.
