Status : Online | I finally have a bit of time to get into a new game or two, and I'd love to hear some suggestions based on previous games I've liked...
I'm more into solving puzzles, and am not particularly interested in fighting off creatures. I get frustrated if I can mess things up unknowingly and then wander the game wondering what went wrong (like in "Riddle of the Sphinx", for instance). :-?
Here are some of the games I've really enjoyed:
1-Faust: Seven Games of the Soul--this one kept me up nights and distracted in class figuring out what I was going to try next. I loved it.
2-Sanitarium--I loved how I had the whole level to wander and didn't worry about doing things out of order. It was scary in a great way, and I loved the puzzles. I also loved the no consequence minimal fighting. I don't want to worry about being killed and having to return to the very beginning.
3-7th Guest--Great puzzles
4-Myst. I loved the original, yet in the second one, when I was just left wandering, i got frustrated.
5- Dracula the Last Sanctuary--this was so long ago, and I don't remember it being spectacular, but it was fun anyhow, and I think it satisfied my gaming requirements.
5-Drod. Not quite the same as the others, but this one kept me going and going, and I lost much sleep as I played it well into the night.
Can you help me find other games I will enjoy? Thanks in advance!

Experience 112, looks like a very orginal game.
Culpa Innata, looks very good.
Reprobates: At the gates of Hell, nice game by the maker of The Black Mirror.

Try the new Safecracker game. (and the old one too if you have access to a 5 year old computer)
4-Myst. I loved the original, yet in the second one, when I was just left wandering, i got frustrated.
Try the 3rd one: Myst: Exile.
5- Dracula the Last Sanctuary--this was so long ago, and I don't remember it being spectacular, but it was fun anyhow, and I think it satisfied my gaming requirements.

Check the games that were developed by Kheops. http://www.kheopsstudio.fr/site/games.php?lang=2
You might get a little lost in Crystal Key 2, but the others have less elaborate layouts. Secrets of the Lost Cavern is also known as Echo.
Also Keepsake has some good puzzles. You might get lost roaming around the large castle, but maps are available.
