Status : Offline | I've got as far as the initial wander around. Very Myst like. Have had no time to play lately - definitely going to get back to it.

Status : Offline | So far? Well, I remember thinking, what the hell do I do next? And what are these fiddly things for and what are all these shapes on the ground and where do I get more clues...?

Status : Online | I enjoyed this game. Nice graphics. I seem to remember that some of the puzzles were quite complex. The Alida website has its own hints pages http://www.alidagame.com/hints.html if you get really stuck.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Status : Offline | Thank you Snowy - I expect I will get really stuck. I seem to be losing brain cells the older I get.
Oh dear, did I just describe myself as old? Let's hope Mark doesn't find out.

There are no UHS hints for Alida, but there are a few free walkthroughs:

| Deleted User | I finished the game and mostly enjoyed it, but there were flaws. And I mean basic flaws in graphic rendering the remove the game from Myst-level. I recommend it, but I'm not sure that I will play my copy a 2nd time.

Hmmm. I was very impressed with the rendered graphics, Speck, but that may be because it was originally designed for Macs and lost something in the port to Windows. I also loved the cut scenes, especially the overviews.

Status : Online | just finished- its a gorgeous game with a good story- some of the puzzles are complex- but everything seems pretty logical- the hardest one for me was the sound puzzle- as always- other than that- it was a great game with a good story-

Status : Offline | I bought this recently as well, but soon found out this would not be a favourite of mine. I walked around a bit, kept losing a sense of direction most of the time, had no idea of what I was supposed to do and grew bored with the whole experience rather quickly. I might try again in the future, I do want to give it a second chance after these positive opinions on the game, but I'm afraid Alida might just not be my cup of tea.

Status : Offline | I just cant get mine to work right, played it for a bit and was really enjoying it but when it asked me to put in disc 4 it just wouldnt read it, I installed the patch and still a no go, then I decied to delete, start over and do a full install so I wouldnt have to worry about the disc, thing and it STILL wants me to add a disc, Im pretty fed up because Ive spent so much of my spare "game playing time" just trying to get the d a m n e d thing to run. *sigh*
Guess Ill put it aside for now a try another.
I was really enjoying the game too.
