I don't remember the name of the NES controller but the biggest feature aside from rapid fire buttons is the Dpad that was like a gray circle with a red movable cirlce in the middle.
The Max pad? I remember liking that controller, though I admit using the red circle wasn't fun -- I think I almost always used the black outer ring instead.

worst: a crappy joystick i had for spectrum and then amiga that was like a gun with the firebutton being the trigger and the stick on top, all quickshots, and yeah, the original atari joystick i guess, although it has cult status now!
You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Worst: Don't have one, but I don't like my Logitech Dual Action gamepad as much as I liked my Gravis XTerminator
I really want an XBox 360 controller for the PC, though. I played a friend of mine's and it's the best! Too bad it cost around $45.00 USD.

Status : Online | I love my rumblepad- wouldn't be without it- has its own emulator and everything- and if you have a compliant game the will work with the rumblepad part- weee- what fun-
as far as worst- I didn't like my old sidewinder joystick as much- but I generally don't like joysticks anyhow-

It was called the Turbo controller because of its extra turbo buttons. We had one and it was the only one I used when playing NES. It just made things so much easier and made my thumb last just a bit longer for more gaming.
The only other one I've used since my NES days is the PS2 Dual Shock Controller. If I can find one of those thingies that will let me hook it up to my computer (forget what they're called, which is probably why I can't find it) I'll buy it in a second.
