Status : Offline | I've only played RealMyst, and it was wonderful. The environment effects (clouds, sun, water etc. ) really make the experience special. There is also an additional age, Rime, that you get to once the game is solved. I loved exploring there and watching the whales. Apparently RealMyst is available at Gametap for download. It is hard to find the CD version anymore.

Status : Offline | Funny i was just replaying realmyst yesterday. If you play it as it is supposed to be played (forced antialising etc) then it looks quite good. Take a look at a screenshot of channelwood i took . Bare in mind that realmyst was released 7 years ago

| Deleted User | Your screenshot DOES look good! I started playing RealMyst two years ago, hated the manoeuvring in 3D, didn't get very far. Maybe I should try again... I'd love to see Rime as well.

Status : Online | realMyst is definitely worth it. Graphically, it was hard for me to play Riven, Exile, and Revelation, and then go back to the more dated graphics of the original Myst. I just wish that EoA had been more like realMyst in that it used live actors instead of sprites. I guess this is why I didn't get as invested in EoA as the other games.
I actually used several screenshots from realMyst for my Master's vocal recital program and project.
It's darn pretty.

Status : Offline | Just did a quick search. RealMyst is selling from $75. And Gametap is not available in my country - which explains why Uru Live wouldn't load. [smiley=doh.gif]
MystMasterpiece, meanwhile seems to have a value somewhere between 50c and $5. I keep hoping I'll find a RealMyst somewhere at a reasonable price.

Yes, I agree Lady Kestrel! The weather changes are impressive in Real Myst - especially in the Selentic Age!

Status : Offline | Thanks ShadowWalker.
I accessed it from ebay Australia and it converted the price into Aussie dollars - $49 plus postage. And that dealer has 20 copies....
