Status : Offline | The one that leaked is in English, but it doesn't say whether it's CE or not. It installed both languages for me - thanks, I'm sure there's at least 2GB that I don't need.
Now, before someone jumps on my back for piracy... I will be buying the game as soon as it's released on Steam or some similar digital download platform. No website that I know ships CDs to my country and local stores don't have games unless they are high-class acts like The Sims and World of Warcraft :/ Think of this as, eh, evaluation/demo version.
The game is interesting so far (I'm on Chapter 2 - no clue how many chapters there is), the graphics are pretty, there is a total of one music track but it's so pretty that I don't mind *_* The game is fairly easy so far, but there is a Bonus you can get in each chapter that requires a little bit of additional gameplay. But nothing too hard.

Yes, both the Collector's Edition and the regular version were released. However, I have learned that Amazon.de no longer seems to be shipping either of them to the United States. However, to quote myself from a thread at CORT-X, The Unofficial Gray Matter Website:
"You can now purchase a download version at least at Gamer Unlimited (Gamesplanet). This is not to endorse this store over others - it is just the only one I know for sure works. "
(I recommend CORT-X for a lot more info and discussion on the game!)

Status : Offline | 3h of gaming and I'm loving the feeling I get when I play this game.. it's something I haven't felt in a while. the character's development throghout the story, the deepness of it all, the way you care about your character's fate... this is all that I can ask in a game... I need to care about the characters, I need to feel I am not "talking" to robot NPCs but with people with personalities and feelings, I must care enough for the story to want to know how it all ends..
The immersion of this game is such I really feel like I'm in Oxford or London. Another aspect I like is the magic tricks you get to learn.. I've always been intrigued to know whats the essence behind magic so it's been a nice experience getting to explore this "new" world.
This game is not perfect though. As many people have pointed out, the graphics are somewhat poor, for instance in one of the first scenes where Sam carries her rabbit, it is so badly done you're even ashamed to look with more attention. They also rarely focus the camera on the character's faces, and many times you see everything from afar, as if you were some voyeur hiding behind the bush.. But I think all of this can be forgotten in name of the story and character's development.
Well, i'll keep you posted.
Playing: Skyrim (ongoing)
Last Finished: can't recall, been too long.

I don't think the graphics are that bad - the environments, I mean. They are just oversaturated in some areas and it seems someone loves their Dodge tool. The artwork I found awful, though, cut-scenes are painful to watch, with badly painted faces and that weird canvas texture overlay :/ I found it a bit... unnecessary.
I definitely care for the characters and that's amazing =D
BTW, does anyone know if it will be released on Steam? I kind of like having my games there.

It was perfect ;_; Now I'm sad Amazon doesn't ship here because I really want the CE. Especially the soundtrack. [s]All two tracks that are in the game[/s].

There is quite a bit of discussion about what got to be released, and what will probably be released.

Still haven't played it, so no spoilers please!

Puzzles are terribly easy, though, almost all are inventory-based or require doing a magic trick that you have a handbook for (so no thinking required). There's three-four "logical" puzzles, but they are not very hard either. Perhaps that's what people are referring to when rating the game.

In to complain how I can't get the main theme out of my head. I NEED the soundtrack and it's driving me crazy!

Like the dancing thing in Mata Hari...where you have to rely on reflexes to complete the puzzle. Kind of like Guitar Hero Meets Adventure Games.

Nope, not at all.  on't worry - no QTE's in Gray Matter. In fact, during the beta most people complained that the magic tricks were a bit too easy - like Donna says, you can even refer to a "manual of tricks" while you are doing it.
Personally I really enjoyed as much of the game as I have managed to play. I might be a bit biased though, and admittedly, I haven't played the proper, finished version yet. I'd love to have a nice, proper English boxed version of it to put on my shelf, so I'll wait for now...
Who knows if I'll give in over Xmas and get myself the German download. :

Now I feel a it worried, I don't won't want to mislead you in any way. Where did you hear the rumours, MKB?

The game is amazing
