You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

There have been hints dropped in my various posts, but let's cut to the chase here with an indoor pic:

PS I do like the way the underneath of the porch is lined with wood, not like mine.

The house was only used for exteriors in Cleveland, Ohio (although I read the movie setting was in Indiana). The interior rooms were too small, so the interiors were shot in Canada.

I can understand why you wouldn't be familiar with the movie. I don't think it had any particular success in the theaters, but it's been gaining a lot of popularity over time, moving from a cult classic to mainstream popularity now. We're burbling over this because it's a really charming and funny movie.

Ironically, It's a Wonderful Life also made no impact when it was released in the theatres and it wasn't until they showed it on TV many years later that it became a cult classic.
Ummm, anyone up for another guess where I went game? :

Well, after reading about your vampire time-keeping, and noticing that the photo was taken in the evening, I'd say you got up, [possibly shaved] had breakfast and then headed out, saw the house just before they closed for the night and then headed off to a fast food joint where you stuffed yourself full of dangerous chemicals masquerading as food, washed it down with too much Pepsi and then rounded off the excursion with a box of doughnuts to eat in the car on the way home.

| Deleted User | I finally just guessed (correctly) before figuring out what was in the window. Once I guessed, I went back to see if it was going to be "obvious" zooming in and it still wasn't. Aw, fudge, that was tough.

I cant play Ivinias guessing games since we live in the same area cuz I know them immediately. ( yeah I knew the other one immediately too. *sigh* )

It actually wasn't too bad. We were there, purchased our tickets ($5 each) and through the house in about an hour total. I got me a decoder too. They were out of the leg lamp nightlights though. :-/

Why, I remember seeing some of them old hand-made distilleries with the copper pipes drippin' out corn (and other vegetables) whisky near my Great-Grandpappy's farm that t'weren't busted up by those mean "Revenooers".
I was too young to really understand the point of all that. All I knew was that it t'weren't legal, and all the men-folk (and a few women-folk, too) had such a great time after they had a few snorts. And Lordy - the fried chicken! Mmm-MMM!
Apparently, there were those (some of my in-laws and mostly, uh, out-law distant relatives from North and South Carolina) that still enjoyed the idea of post-Prohibition. They enjoyed it better when it t'weren't legal or guv-mint controlled.
My Mama didn't approve, and that was that. We didn't hang with those folks much - to my dismay. I always had such a good time with those people.

Two messages from the movie:You'll poke your eye out with a BB gun. (we never did) : Don't put your tongue on a frozen gate post or it will stick. (truth)
lol... Remember the charming pink bunny costume the grandmother made for her grandson?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!!!

Well, the Brits didn't think much of 'It's a Wonderful Life' either which I just happen to be on my way to the video store to rent. However, my favorite Christmas movie is still the Alistair Sim 'A Christmas Carol'.
