that is because the sam & max giveaway has closed... when a giveaway ends, the post is not removed from here... this thread is only to announce new giveaways... it does though get removed from the contests page on ja (http://www.justadventure.com/Contests/Contests.shtm)... so, if you click on an old giveaway from this thread, either check the main contests page to see if it's still open, or check the dates at the bottom of the giveaway (in sam & max's case, the end date was may 9)

Status : Offline | the pages themselves don't get deleted... if you have the direct link to an old giveaway page, you will find it (and the closing date at the bottom will indicate if you can still enter or not)... what gets deleted, after a giveaway closes, is the email and the link from the main giveaways page... think of this thread as an archive of all old giveaways!

That quoted text is just the top part of the auto-notice sent to me when I tried to send an e-mail to the address linked on the (now dead) Sam & Max contest entry page. The link still spawns an e-mail window and you can still send a message using it - but the inbox is closed so it can't be delivered.
