Beste leden,

Wie weet of kan mij helpen aan informatie over het verkrijgen van de gamestrilohie van Broken Sword???
Dan bedoel ik speciaal de games voor pocket pc!!
Ik heb begrepen dat er 4 games zijn? The shadow of the Templars heb ik al. Het gaat mij nu om de andere 3 resterende games!
Ik hoop van jullie te horen,

Groeten,

MarinusD.

I took the liberty of translating this on Babelfish, rough translation as follows:

Dear members, Who can offer information on obtaining the Broken Sword game trilogy especially the games for pocket pc.!! I have understood that there are now 4 games? The shadow or the Templars I have already. I am concerning with the 3 remaining games now! I hope hear of your, Groeten.

Groeten

There is indeed a new Broken Sword game, The Angel of Death, and we posted a review of it last week on JA (http://www.justadventure.com/reviews/BrokenSwordAOD/BS4.shtm).

You can order it from the JA Online store, but as it appears you are overseas, it would probably be easier for you to order it from a European online store.

As for the pocket pc version, I am not too familiar with it, but will see what I can find out for you.

Apart from the grammar, Babelfish did pretty well.

Marinus was indeed asking about the four Broken Sword games, specifically the PocketPC versions (of which, I think, there was only the one i.e. Shadow of the Templars).

I will translate to Dutch, if anyone knows about PocketPC versions of the other games in the series, let me know and I will let Marinus know.

Hallo Marinus,

I read the review and it looks like I better buy this one. I had given up the seiries even though I enjoyed the first two because of the control system they used in BS3 .

Een 'recensie' om helemaal correct te zijn.

How do we know you're not dissing us in Dutch?

Aside from translating it online, of course.  :

It means "Oh, is that a challenge?
Susan is a nice girl, but she doesn't understand any Dutch."

That sounds a bit better.

I'm still curious where this "meid" came from, though.  I suppose it stands for "maid" or something horrible like that. :

No, it's just a variant of the normal Dutch word 'meisje' (which means 'girl' or 'little girl'). As girls age 10 or older tend to no longer appreciate being called 'little girl', we use the 'meid' version instead. Can be used for girls between 0 and 120 though

(same for boys, we have 'jongetje' and 'jongen').

And here endeth our language lesson.

Is that so ...? I know I can get pretty miffed if someone still calls me 'meisje'...
... They don't call my male colleague 'jongen' ...
Well, I might do that tomorrow ...
. I quite like Randy's translation which gets translated by Pollo which gets translated by ...
. We're very cosmopolitan at JA ...

But (more or less) back to topic. For some 15 euro (exclusief verzendkosten
) at PC media ((internet) store in the Netherlands) you can get BS2 & BS3. That is if you don't mind the regular PC version. It's good value for your money. BS4 is new and therefore still quite pricey. Unfortunately I also don't have any extra info on possible PocketPC-versions. Didn't even know the first one was available on PocketPC. Good luck!
