"on't telegraph the puzzle solutions so much. One of my happiest moments playing this game was right at the very end, when I realized: I don't know what to do! This wasn't frustrating, mind you. This was awesome. I'd blazed through all the other puzzles without having to work my brain very hard, and I was ready for a challenge. If I get stuck two or three times as often in the next episode, I'll be two or three times as happy a player"
The trend is for dumbed down puzzles.

Granted, Sam and Max is a whole different series, but still. As far as I know, there won't be a demo available for Sam and Max (the episode itself is probably too small). And that makes it simple for me: no demo, no try, no buy.

News flash: I'm going to actually BUY an episodic game! Will the fabric of time and space withstand this cataclysmic event? Stay tuned.... [smiley=shocked.gif]

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.

Sam & Max is much, much, much better than the Bone games. Puzzles are on the easy side but it's very very funny and clever.

I like humor in my games, but EASY puzzles... PASS! (so sick of dumbed down everything)

There will be a demo.
It will be through Telltale's site as well as Gametap I believe.

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Well, you can't say it's dumbed down since Sam & Max Hit the Road had easy puzzles too. And actually this game shows a little more imagination in the puzzles. I think the whole six episode set when it comes out will probably wind up playing better than S&MHtR.

Ah, thanks for the link, Melanie! Great news! 8-)

I agree! We'll have to wait for 'n' months and hope that episodic sales are enough to enable them to complete the season but a full/proper game is what floats my boat.

I don't know how long the preorder deal will last, but it will be at least through the release of episode 1.
I would say keep an eye on the website and to be on the safe side, order before Dec. 17 (when the next one comes out).

I'm pretty sure that it won't stay the same., otherwise there wouldn't be much attraction to pay for all episodes now already. Also, I'm not sure whether all six episodes put together will form one game. Do they all have separate story lines or one continuous one?

Seperate stories with an overarching plot.
