Let me clear this up for everybody: I am not pregnant.

Let me rephrase that: I have a F-A-T  R-O-U-N-D  S-T-O-M-A-C-H.

Just because I'm buying stuff at Babies R Us with a gift registry in my hands it does not mean it's OK to ask when the due date is.
Never mind that my sister-in-law's first initial is the same as mine, and her name could be mistaken for mine if that was all you saw, say, on something else.)

Just because I'm at a baby shower for my sister-in-law and I have a F-A-T  R-O-U-N-D  S-T-O-M-A-C-H, it does not mean it's OK to ask me if I'm also pregnant.

I brushed it off 6 years ago when some woman asked me how far along I was, but twice in three days is too much.  Unless a woman is in her 9th month of being pregnant and she's having twins or something and it's very obvious that she is pregnant (and even then it might not be a good idea), do not assume she is, and for the love of all things sacred, DO NOT ask her about it.

OK?

I miss my Bubba: 1986 - 2006.

You left this on the bathroom counter......want to explain again?

Deleted UserI learned long ago, don't assume that woman is pregnant unless you see a baby exiting her womb!

Oh dear.  I've done that - and I've had it done to me.

Bub number 2 was in the shopping trolley and I locked my keys in the car.  A nice kind lady stepped up to help me and she said something along the lines of, 'with a small baby and in your condition'.... oops!  time to diet.   :-[

Back to you Susan, Goddess of Many Names.   Do not, I repeat, DO NOT under any circumstances, adopt the current fashion trend for smock tops and empire line dresses.    [smiley=devil_smiley_grintail.gif]

That was there when I arrived.  I think the woman ahead of me left it.  You might want to check with that blond chick who always wears the leopard print.

I call those tops "pregnancy tops."  Doesn't matter who's wearing them, either.

Can I use this whole thing to my advantage, somehow?

Maybe... maybe.... do you use public transport?  Can't get a seat?

Lean back, thrust out belly, look pathetic and stare at a seated passenger.  It might work.

Hello There!

Susan......I just got a package that I think is meant for you....I could be wrong.   I opened it and looked inside and I scanned it so that you could verify if indeed is your package erroneously sent to me!

Depends.  Is there an ex-boyfriend somewhere that you'd be interested in scaring the crap out of?

My name is Bethany and I'm the daughter of Gamergal/Michelle.

OMG, Susan...sorry you had to go through that - how rude!!!!  I was about 8 or 9 when I said to my Aunt (who wasn't pregnant), "Auntie, are you pregnant??"

[smiley=doh.gif]

Oh, man...that was back in the 70's and Muumuus were in style (for some reason) - My mom pulled me aside to tell me never to say that to anyone....

So to this day (I'm 30 something....), my Aunt gives me strange looks....

(I learned my lesson..... [smiley=embarassed.gif])

Smock tops were all the rage when I was mid-teens and my mother wouldn't let me have one because they were only for pregnant women and she didn't want people to think the wrong thing...etc ...

Now when I see the shops full of 70s style fashions and colours I hate the sight of them.  Been there, done that.
