Because if it's the latter I can list every single Kheops game, their endings are disappointingly short and unsatisfying. As for a real bad ending, I can't say I remember playing a game like that.

I mean that you didn't like the ending(s) and that they just plain suck.

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Well said. Very unsatisfying endings. The ending of Voyage was fine, I thought. Very decent graphics, not too abrupt, pleasant...I mean, it had to end somewhere.

I've heard that sentiment echoed many times. I disliked the ending of Still Life also, though this has more to do with the fact that the ending was abrupt than the ending's actual content. I was really starting to get into Still Life when it ended and I was very let down that it ended in the way it did -- the game could've been so much more than it was.
A lot of people seem to hate the ending of Black Dahlia too, but I LOVED it. Perfect noir style (though in hindsight, after the solving torturous puzzles that the game contains I can see how some may feel cheated).

| Deleted User | Besides those really annoying "non existing" endings where the game simply states "you win" or "game over" as Aya already stated there was one game in the past where I still remember the ending because it was quite shocking and I was very disappointed or frustrated. The game was "reamweb". - Someone remember it? I would love to see more games with adult themes like it still it really didn't have to end "THAT" way.

I guess you can say I only like good endings. If it has a sequel or will be continued it still needs some sort of ending that ties up the loose ends and makes a person feel that he can make it right soon. I play games for enjoyment so why would I want to see someone fail to get what they really wanted as that happens way too often in real life. The multipal endings are great too though and give a person a way to get what ever ending they might like.

Ah, right, Voyage did have an ok ending, though [spoiler midtext]it probably didn't make much sense if you haven't played Return to Mysterious Island.
I wish Voyage was the rule, though, not the exception. If you played Safecracker- Spoiler AlertAll you got was a black screen explaining what each family member did with the money (even though the game didn't provide enough hints about each family member for us to really care) and if you choose to keep the money you just get the same black screen with the message 'you just recieved a large sum of money, use it well'. The only extra you got was the option to print the will ,and even then it didn't print correctly. Not a single cutscene to reward you for solving the game!
Nibiru had a bad ending as well, but the entire game was lacking in storytelling, so I didn't expect the ending to be much better.
And in Crime Stories (Martin Mystere) [spoiler midtext]3 new characters are introduced, 2 of them crucial to the plot, and Martin acts as if he knew them from the start, even though we just heard of them! There is no way to solve the mystery without knowing those two characters, so the solution just comes out of nowhere and leaves a lot of plotholes.

Gryzor for the Amstrad CPC. Side scrolling shooter. After playing for hours got to the end which was a giant heart.
After you kill it you get one screen that say "Well done!! However the planet blew up Your DEAD."
Wtf.

Or did the planet actually blow up your dead people?

The worst ending I have ever gotten (for a game with some of the best graphics and fantastic puzzles) 'Black Mirror'.

A side scrolling shooter called "Zero Wing". Supposed to a fairly average game, but it gained Internet immortality with that opening. The game that launched a thousand send-ups, as it were.

I don't play Dreamfall yet (it's on my list of next games to play) and I know maybe the ending of Longest journey 1 is very important to the sequel, but L.J.1 has a very deceptioning ending.
And what about Fahrenheit's ending? I mean, not the ending, the storyline in the middle of the game with the oracle and all that stuff was very disappointing too
