| Deleted User | I see your Blade Runner and Bad Mojo Redux and raise you about another 20 games (that I won't list because that would require that I get up and go downstairs).
I always try to keep the inventory interesting, so that I have a varied library of yet-to-be-played games available. There's more than one Nancy Drew in that pile (always good to have around for fun after you've finished a hard or boring game). I also buy new games (Dreamfall, BS4) and wait for their to be a good base of hints to be out their before I play it (just in case).

My goodness Mark
I thought I was the only one who had that many "still in the original wrapper with the price tag intact" games littering the shelves in my computer room

I've been 'playing' Barrow Hill for months now. I really need the cosy fall/winter atmosphere to get into games; there's too much going on in the summer. Once I put the garden to bed, I should be able to make a dent in the pile.

Wow, you have this version (picture) still unopened? That is such a cool box design! I envy you. 8-)
And as for me? About 140 unfinished I guess. *ahem* : Looks like I'm very good at playing the games, just not at finishing them.

It is a cool box design (which is one of the reasons I miss the old "big" box packaging). I had to put it in a "regularly"-shaped box to store it though, because its shape is so angular and odd.
I find this one to be quite cool, too. The inset window is recessed. Quite a fabulous packaging job (even for a non-Adventure game). I also love the original First Edition Sanitarium box. It's really nice, too (but it has long since been ravaged open and played many times).

| Deleted User | I've saved all my boxes. I have the original Sanitarium box, GK collection and various other goodies. But they are not unopened. I ordered The Last Express via FedEx (it cost a fortune) and still keep the box unopened and wrapped in plastic, so I still haven't played the actual game. What a catch 22! I also have a bunch of original Sierra hint books still sealed in their cases. Would be fun to read them too, but I don't have X-ray vision. Got them from a Swedish retailer that was probably really small and was selling off the last few things in stock before shutting down. This was only a couple of years ago, and the games sold were still stuff like Space Quest 2 for the Amiga!

Right now I have a stack of recently purchased games that include Daemonica, Nancy Drew: Danger by Design, and the new Safecracker. BS4 is in the mail. And I have oodles more in my bookcases. I buy 'em when I see 'em because I may never see 'em again. I don't have time to play right now, but will someday (I hope).

What's so special about the first edition box of Sanitarium? I must have a later release then. I mean, it still has nice cover art, but apart from that, it's a regular box.

No. It's a response to "What games have you got and not started yet?"....just a matter of focus.

Way to many !
I just bought a new adventure game, to place it in the collection of games I haven't yet played. Games like Keepsake, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Syberia 1 and Syberia 2, Myst 1-5, as well as Morpehus, Post Mortem & Still Life and some other games, I've forgotten I have.

When did you post those? I wanna see again! I remember Aya said he would post new pictures once everything was unpacked and put on the shelves a few months ago. Did you post pictures afterwards? I did a little search, but didn't find anything. You guys together must have one of the biggest collections out there. So make us jealous. Seriously, would love to see pictures of your collection.
Sorry to hear about the lost Duckman game. I'd love to play that game one day (loved the cartoon series!), but it's really hard to find. :-/

| Deleted User | Duckman doesn't do much on ebay anymore these days. The version with English box and manual is quite rare; Randy explained why in one of his older articles (don't remember the title). It used to be very popular among collectors. Spotted one on Dutch ebay two months ago and got it for only 12 Euros. I was the only bidder. : Go figure...
