Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!!!

Then you can upload that picture to an image hosting service like Image Shack (http://imageshack.us/) and then post that image here.

How many use their own images for a desktop image? I always do.

I have a 30" widescreen LCD and a 21" CRT monitor, and I still have to scroll to see them.
That said - wanna get rid of those pesky shortcut arrows (those small curved white arrows in the lower left-hand corner of your icons)? Do this:
Start the Registry Editor Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ lnkfile Delete the value IsShortcut Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ piffile Delete the value IsShortcut Close the Registry Editor and restart Windows
Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

NOTE: The registry is NOT something you want to experiment with so if you do not know what you are doing, stick to what Mark suggests and close the Editor before you do any damage.

I like yours, Michelle. I just started watching the series again on DVD.

Liath. Older Russian game. Haven't really played it, just struggled with it for an hour. Frustrating gameplay, beautiful graphics.

Screenshot from Barrow Hill. I always have dark backgrounds, so I can see the icons better.

And [smiley=thumbs.gif] to Michelle's Farscape background and Betje's Barrow Hill background -- both very cool.
It's interesting, the variety of ways we organize our desktops. Some go for a minimalist look, some fill their desktop with shortcuts. Some organize their shortcuts in columns, other in groups. I have to admit it never occurred to me to try anything other than the traditional left to right columns, stodgy old thing that I am.

Status : Offline | I keep all my regular shortcuts (browsers, email, iTunes, word processor, trash) in the hidden dock at the bottom of the page, and other shortcuts to systems, applications, and games in the classic Apple drop-down menu (upper left). It's sort of like my rolltop desk. I can stuff things in and roll the top down to make it look neat when company comes.
