With their Xbox being a big priority for them - perhaps a combination PC/Xbox rerelease might make sense.
Time will tell - I'd love to see it myself.

Status : Online | As pointed out in the other thread on this page (started by Randy), Microsoft have already offloaded those assets to Take-Two. According to Mobygames:
In October of 2004, the business unit of Microsoft that still comprised of the people and projects from Access Software, were sold to Take-Two. The studio was renamed Indie Built, Inc.
Quoting Randy's post:
Well, Chris Jones is working on Stolen Life, a movie which we've known about for some time and today we have a nice article about it courtesy of Alexander Tait - http://www.justadventure.com/Previews/StolenLife/StolenLife.shtm He also owns a company that develops software golf simulations. As for Aaron Conners, I spoke with him this weekend on the telephone and he's no longer with Take 2 and is now happily employed at Ubisoft in their Montreal division. Take 2 really did Access wrong and it is unlikely that we will ever see a rerelease of the Tex games, but both Aaron and Chris have spoken to me in the past about reviving Tex as an online game and while it never panned out, Aaron said that he hopes to have another adventure game in development in a year or two. We did speak about the new popularity of digital downloads, Gametap and game installments such as Bone and Sam and Max and the possibility still exists that Tex could be revived in a similar fashion. I've already written to Gametap as they do seem to be interested in quality adventure games but it probably wouldn't hurt if they were to hear from a few thousand fans either.
A re-release is probably not likely given the games are large (DVD sized) which would preclude online play and possibly even download to play. They were technically advanced at the time of release and aren't super friendly to get running on modern systems. Perhaps something will come along but I would place money on it just yet
