Anyone remember this beauty?

Got it off ebay cheap. Never finished it on PS1 so determined to this time

Was a pain to get running on XP but got there in the end with DOSbox.

I'm amazed! After working like a madman to get it running in Win98 under MS-DOS, I got through most the game but alas, the two-hour timer shut me right off...and I was so close to the end! I never got to see the end of it, but I still really liked the game.

Hämsterviel, there is some recent mention of D in this Forum in a Topic located here, starting about the middle of Page 2 (but its probably nothing you don't already know about the game).

Many kudos to you for getting D to run in XP. I may try your installation method one day. I still want to see the end!

I have a mint 3DO copy I've played many times.

Was the best horror game on the 3DO - it does have more than one ending for a little more game time.

Played D2 as well on the dreamcast - fun in it's own very different way.

Hi again,

Ahh the 3DO, i always wanted one but they were sooo expensive

I took a few screenies of it working under XP. Only a few from the start as don't really want to get into it just yet as still playing Still Life and Silent Hill 4.

One thing i will mention is that the music is far creepier than i remember
hehe cool game.

Oddly enough D2 was actually the third game of the series. The sequel to the original D was Enemy Zero.

Although none of the three games are really related, they all have Laura in the lead role and other returning characters

I remember seeing that one in the game stores.  I passed that one up.   I would have to say that it must have been the box cover or the title that stopped me.  I  didn't even pick it up to read because it didn't strike me as something I might want to play.

Never played D, but I thought D2 had one of the best stories of any game and reprehensible gameplay.  Here's how I started my review:

It could happen to any developer. You spend years working on a game, creating an elaborate story, detailed characters and beautiful snow scenes carefully lit to reflect the time of day. Then, just as you think you're finished, you realize that you have completely forgotten one thing: giving people something they can actually play. With no time left, you quickly toss in a little mindless action and release the game.

The 3DO is the system released in 1993-2000 that I enjoyed the most.

There are many very positive reviews of Snow Job out there:

A classic adventure game I really enjoyed playing!
