You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Guys.............I hate to be a party pooper. But...................we have to still wait and see.
One thing is having the writer or designer of the game make a fantastic story and have awsome tasks and fantastically intelligent puzzles and logical game parameters and yada...yada...yada.
All well and good. Jane Jensen can write wonderfully immersive and atmospheric stories, that suck you in and make you experience the game with wonderfully written dialogue and subject matter.
[size=20]However..................the fat lady has not sung yet!
There is still the matter of the people putting the game together and coding it.
We have to see what they do with Jane Jensen's work.
They may follow it to the letter and do a fantastic job of it...........or they can botch it!
And have us get a bitter aftertaste from the game.
Let us hope that the game makers are not exasperating in how they code it and put it together.
Wonderful writting......
Exemplary puzzles..........
Memorable characters........
Momentous gaming moments..........
Incredible graphics...........
Musical virtuosity.........
..................................
and..........................
More bugs than a roach nest......
Weird saving methods......
Sound card problems......
Steam! [smiley=furious.gif]
Internet registration................ [smiley=furious.gif] [smiley=furious.gif] [smiley=furious.gif]
Loading problems........
No text for the hard of hearing..............
Bad text for the hard to see.............(color blind, bad eyesight.....)
etcetera.........etcetera.........etcetera.........
...............why is your head higher than mine!.............
Woops....their goes my King of Siam aspirations................
The fat lady has not sung yet...........
And although she is a wonderful writer of game stories...........she is not coding it herself........remind yourself of that fact.
And honestly...........I hope that this game hits the ground running!
I love her stories and how she weaves them..............and yes...........I love her picture as is........very cute and sexy! Still! Woof!

What you say is true for every single game, isn't it? I don't see why this is special. All these things can happen or it can go fine. We certainly won't know until it's out.

www.adventure-eu.com
The video is 320 mb, and registration is required but it is worth the effort! Jane presents her new game, there is a storyboard of the game's introduction and she speaks about the prospects of this new series. Definitely worth checking out!

After reading little bits, pieces and rumors about Jane's next adventure game, it's good to finally see an official press release that acknowledges it. There was a lot of talk a few years ago about a whole new series she had planned and a possible deal with TAC but if memory serves, it fell through.
Here's a link to a slightly different version of the same DTP Entertainment announcement:
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=10506
The news has also now been posted on a large number of other well established game sites across the web and Randy's confirmation really nails it. So I'm assuming it's solid and am really look forward to learning more about Gray Matter in the coming months.
Cheers, Terry
Terry that game that would potentilly be a new series WAS Gray Matter--jsut to clarrify.
This news has me absolutely beaming. I never expected it--Gabriel Knight are for me just heads and shoulders above every other dventure game
