Deleted UserI'm giving this wonderful Indy game a 9.  A must-play for lovers of Mystian games. Spooky atmosphere,  easy puzzles that make sense and do not feel contrived at all. Very immersive game.

I liked this game quite a bit. Excellent atmosphere indeed, great use of sound to enhance the creepiness factor. Fun and largely interesting puzzles too. I only give it a 7, though, because the game was very short, and ended much too soon I thought. Still, a pleasing first effort from Matt Clark. I'm eager to see what his next project will be.

I started to give it an 8, mostly because I thought it was a fairly short game, but I had a really good time with it and decided it deserved a 9.

I hope this is the right place to ask for help... I've been playing Barrow Hill (and enjoying it), but hit a snag -- when I fix the lantern, and use it to fix the kitchen lights, the lantern then DISAPPEARS...

as far as I can tell, I cannot continue to play the game without it, right?

when I go outside to a dark area, I'm blocked from advancing, and get the "use something, idiot" cursor... but my inventory has no lantern!

I wrote an email to their so-called "support" but no reply has come in weeks...

can anyone who has played this game successfully give me any advice?
is the lantern an object I should be able to see in one of my inventory locations? or does it just "appear when needed, and the reason I am blocked is because I have no accomplished all I need to do?

a look through the various walkthrus available is not shedding any light on this, as I have not seen anyone else address this "problem". Can anyone help?

Frank :-?

I admire the game as an independent production.

Quite creepy but not as spine-tingling as Dark Fall 1.

Puzzles all very reasonable and well clued, if a bit easy.

What let it down was the shortness and the poor voice acting and character animation. {Since when does someone pout when they are terrified?}

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

I'll tell you it's not a bug in the game.  Adventure games never have bugs of this sort, they just need a little working around.
