By the way - both of these older Adventure games installed and played perfectly in Windows XP without the need to use "Compatibility Mode".
There was a wee bit of audio crackling in Journeyman, but it completely stopped after I set my Audio Acceleration slider back a couple of notches in dxdiag.

Not in the mood to play fun games at the moment and I put them on hold due to recent events (NOT because of a lack of interest!), but I do have some that are waiting for me when the time comes.

Status : Offline | I'm playing Voyage at the moment. Haven't had much time for it lately though. I'm finishing up my thesis as we speak. That's been rather a challenging adventure as well, one big timed sequence really. Hey, kinda like my experience with Voyage actually. I do hope to get back to Voyage soon, others here have assured me the majority of the rest of the game is much more relaxed. 8-)

Status : Online | Just finished the new Safecracker, and it's a cracker of a game!
Some way into Post Mortem, and that's what I'm currently continuing with. Keepsake, currently playing but stuck on a puzzle. And Then There Was None, just started it and put it on hold. Darkfall the journal, just started, put it on hold. But I find it hard to play static nodal point games now after the luxurious 360 degree panning of kheops games and even post mortem. *Prey, little way into it, on hold. *Quake 4, some way into it, on hold. *Doom 3 expansion 'resurrection of evil', fair way into it, on hold.
* FPS are great when I'm in the mood, but being a bit lazy, I'd much rather sit back with a puzzle to solve and a mouse, instead of controlling WASD.

Right now I'm still chipping away at the last part of Scratches in between yet another marathon session of Fallout 1 & 2 played back-to-back and one more run through Star Wars: KOTOR as a Dark Jedi. As a matter of fact, I just finished the finale of Fallout 2 and the few little post-game bonuses not five minutes before logging back onto this forum tonight and beat KOTOR earlier today while waiting for a client to call from a few time zones away. So now I can concentrate fully on completing Scratches before trying some other new titles in several different genres.
Cheers, Terry

Status : Online | 1) Moment of Silence - (finally!) I must say, it's an interesting story - I like it so far.....had to ask for help at the " hints" topic forum for one pixel hunt that was borderline impossible!!
2) Midnight Nowhere - (haven't played it before) I don't like the main character much - he's a little bit annoying - he says stupid "quips" where, under the circumstances, it doesn't seem appropriate... > (I love the atmosphere, though -very creepy!!)

I am not playing anything at the moment but recently finished Paradise and Barrow Hill. Has anyone played any of the more recent releases such as Secrets of Da Vinci, Daemonica, Keepsake and Dreamfall? Oh, and I also look forward to Runaway2. [smiley=wink.gif]

Currently finishing off Schizm 2 for the second time. I'm delighted that it's proving just as pleasurable second time around as it did first time.

I find mechanical puzzles quite logical and not too difficult. It is the timed and sneak sequences I have problems with. Perhaps I should go and buy a few FPS games and practice?

I forgot to mention Keepsake, I'm playing that as well at the moment, and stuck. I've played Secrets of Da Vinci, Dreamfall and Paradise. First two are excellent games. Paradise was average and too many bugs.

Then, I dove into Danger by Design, which left me scratching my head a little. It was okay, but far from my favorite Nancy game.
