What games are you playing NOW?  Not the ones you installed that didn't immediately grab you.  Are they Adventure Games or rpgs?

rFactor. Its a racing simulator and I'm playing the F1 1979 Demo mod, CTDP F1 2005 mod and Beetle race mod.

I also fire up Richard Burns rally from time to time.

Haven't played an adventure/RPG game for AGES!

Waiting for Runaway 2!

Timelapse. I started with Journeyman Project 3 but uninstalled it to play later and decided to play Timelapse instead.

By the way - both of these older Adventure games installed and played perfectly in Windows XP without the need to use "Compatibility Mode".

There was a wee bit of audio crackling in Journeyman, but it completely stopped after I set my Audio Acceleration slider back a couple of notches in dxdiag.

Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

Wrapping up Shivers 2, almost halfway through The Hobbit. (The platformer from a few years back, not the classic IF game.)

Finished Myst V yesterday.  And it was so sad to watch the end of an era.  :'(
[spoiler midtext]not to mention how much Myst island had deteriorated
)

Playing Mystery of the Mummy right now.

I've got Riddle of Master Lu going in Dosbox and am royally stuck.

Nothing

Not in the mood to play fun games at the moment and I put them on hold due to recent events (NOT because of a lack of interest!), but I do have some that are waiting for me when the time comes.

I miss my Bubba: 1986 - 2006.

I'm playing Voyage at the moment. Haven't had much time for it lately though. I'm finishing up my thesis as we speak. That's been rather a challenging adventure as well, one big timed sequence really. Hey, kinda like my experience with Voyage actually.
I do hope to get back to Voyage soon, others here have assured me the majority of the rest of the game is much more relaxed.  8-)

Just finished the new Safecracker, and it's a cracker of a game!

Some way into Post Mortem, and that's what I'm currently continuing with.
Keepsake, currently playing but stuck on a puzzle.
And Then There Was None,  just started it and put it on hold.
Darkfall the journal, just started, put it on hold. But I find it hard to play static nodal point games now after the luxurious 360 degree panning of kheops games and even post mortem.
*Prey, little way into it, on hold.
*Quake 4, some way into it, on hold.
*Doom 3 expansion 'resurrection of evil', fair way into it, on hold.

* FPS are great when I'm in the mood, but being a bit lazy, I'd much rather sit back with a puzzle to solve and a mouse, instead of controlling WASD.

Wild Arms on my PS2. A rpg.  Plan on playing the entire series, all five of them!  The maximum of rpgs I can play in a row is four.  I'm trying to go for a record with five!

I'm currently playing Psychonauts.  I don't think it's Tim Schaefer's best game, but it is certainly additional proof that he is one of the greatest creative minds to ever design video games.

.

Right now I'm still chipping away at the last part of Scratches in between yet another marathon session of Fallout 1 & 2 played back-to-back and one more run through Star Wars: KOTOR as a Dark Jedi. As a matter of fact, I just finished the finale of Fallout 2 and the few little post-game bonuses not five minutes before logging back onto this forum tonight and beat KOTOR earlier today while waiting for a client to call from a few time zones away. So now I can concentrate fully on completing Scratches before trying some other new titles in several different genres.

Cheers,  Terry

1)  Moment of Silence - (finally!)  I must say, it's an interesting story - I like it so far.....had to ask for  help at the " hints" topic forum for one pixel hunt that was borderline impossible!!

2)  Midnight Nowhere - (haven't played it before)  I don't like the main character much - he's a little bit annoying - he says stupid "quips" where, under the circumstances, it doesn't seem appropriate... >
(I love the atmosphere, though -very creepy!!)

An interesting mixture of games currently being played by Forum members. Some old, some new. I've played about 5 or 6 of those mentioned so far.

I am not playing anything at the moment but recently finished Paradise and Barrow Hill.  Has anyone played any of the more recent releases such as Secrets of Da Vinci, Daemonica, Keepsake and Dreamfall? Oh, and I also look forward to Runaway2.  [smiley=wink.gif]

I haven't played any of those you've just named.

Currently finishing off Schizm 2 for the second time.  I'm delighted that it's proving just as pleasurable second time around as it did first time.

I have played both of the Mysterious Journey/Schizm games too. Enjoyed both games but can't say I would play them again unless I was very bored or had no money to buy new games.
I find mechanical puzzles quite logical and not too difficult.  It is the timed and sneak sequences I have problems with. Perhaps I should go and buy a few FPS games and practice?

I'm playing a Nancy Drew mystery.  It's my first.  I decided to try one after reading responses from her many fans on this board.  I think it's something about a royal tower?

I forgot to mention Keepsake, I'm playing that as well at the moment, and stuck.
I've played Secrets of Da Vinci, Dreamfall and Paradise. First two are excellent games. Paradise was average and too many bugs.

Nancy Drew #4: Treasure in the Royal Tower

Does that sound familiar?

Just finished two Nancy Drews. Went back and picked up Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, which was the only older Nancy game I hadn't played. Enjoyed it!

Then, I dove into Danger by Design, which left me scratching my head a little.
It was okay, but far from my favorite Nancy game.

See my portfolio of original artwork at http://home1.gte.net/res0b8zk/portfolio/resources/portfolio.htm
