Status : Online | Whenever a new game comes out that has 800x600 resultion, people complain that it's too low, and the graphics are bad because of it.
Personally, I don't care, I don't see the difference between 800x600 and 1024x768 in games.

Status : Offline | I find that the higher resolutions have more detail but most of it has to be left out because of the extra work for developers. I like to see more detail in a lower res like 800X600 and think it's better for games as the artists can put there all into them with out so much work.

Status : Online | Higher resolutions ARE becoming more popular. My LCD native resolution (sharpest picture) is 1920 x 1080. Because this is progressive (equivalent to high definition TV's 1080p) I would hope you all will support it and I'm certain you will be sooner or later. Note that this resolution is widescreen too--another programming problem to contend with.
