Saw on the report on the news on Wimbleton tennis of a streaker on the tennis court.  It always seems that they appear whenever some big event happens like a gathering of world nations for a sports event or a celebration takes place.  I remember seeing on Jay Leno a guy streaking at the wedding of Prince Charles last year.  The most famous has to be the one guy who ran on stage of the Oscars in the 70's buck naked.  But the most common I've seen has to be at soccer matches.  What is it with soccer and parading around with nothing on but a smile?  All your going to get is a few years in jail for your actions.  I'm convinced that there's a streaker on the field with every soccer match.

No one goes to jail for streaking.

That depends on the streaker!  Some people have no business running around naked.  Most of them are skinny white guys who need more sun.  Witnessing that can be traumatizing!

How come you never see a beautiful darkhaired vixen streaking?  Oh wait. I forgot. They do. You just have to pay an admission fee and sit close to the stage. :

Let's face it.  Men in the nuddy - streaking - are not worth a look. My sister has an excellent description - "dried arrangement".  Says it all.

Heaven knows, I'm no man-hater, but I have to agree.  Women seldom fall in love with real men for their body.   :

It always amuses me to see a policeman holding his helmet over the naked man's dangly bit.

I love streakers.  They're so irreverent.  I like that.  I especially like that English bloke who gets dressed up as a soccer or cricket player and gets himself photographed with the team.... brilliant.  So English.

Nobody here cares about tennis, but this you guys discuss about Wimbledon!  :
Apparently it's already the third time this has happened this year during a tennis tournament. Curiously enough all three during a women's match.
It was funny to see the different reactions of the two players at Wimbledon. Sharapova shyly turned her back on the guy and concentrated on some warm-up exercises to immediately resume play when the security officers had removed the streaker. Dementieva on the other hand, was entertained and kept looking seeing the humor in the situation. Tellingly, Sharapova won the match, Dementieva's thoughts may have been elsewhere.  :

I wonder - does the policeman put that helmet back on his head right away after?

Odd.  That's always puzzled me too.
I don't see anything wrong with letting the cameras film the man's nakedness.  So prudish.

This is the funniest thread I've ever read

My goal in life is to be as good of a person as  my dog already thinks I am.&&&&The measure of civility in a society is not how it treats those that are loved, but how it treats those that are hated.

We have a local Fremont (Seattle, WA) Solstice Day parade that features a pre-parade (and during) contingent of nude cyclists. I know some of them. Here's this years event. (password: nudie)

I saw an advertisement on TV not so long ago (can't remember what was being advertised, strangely enough) .... The scene was a Nudist cricket match (can you boys imagine that!) and on ran a fully clothed female "streaker".  The nudist couple sitting watching the match remarked "Always one in the crowd" or something. I thought it a clever ad. [smiley=rofl.gif]

Now that might just tempt me to watch a bit of sport now and then.

When I'm Supreme Ruler of the Galaxy (again), I think I'll make that one of my first decrees.   Let's see how quickly women's sport makes it onto prime time TV then, eh?
