There may be slightly varying solutions but I expect they all work along the same lines. Right now I'm too sleepy to write a coherent explanation, but if no one else steps up to the plate, I'll do it in about five hours or so. Now I need to get back to sleep

Status : Online | Alright. Now I'm almost fully awake (it's 10:39am) so let's see what I can do.
The solution is asking either of the guards a question like this: "If I asked your colleague which door leads to the castle, which door would he point me to?" Then you promptly enter the other door. The trick is that with a question formulated like this, both guards will answer the same. And here's why:
If you ask the truth telling guard, he knows that the other one would lie and point you to the wrong door. And because he tells the truth, that's exactly where he will point you.
If you ask the lying guard, he knows the other one would point you to the right door. But because he lies, he'll point you to the wrong one.
So the key here is essentially getting the answers from both guards at once. Regardless of which guard you ask, there will be one truth and one lie in the answer and the answer will always be the same.

Ask either of the two: Which door would the other will tell me to use?
It doesn't matter which guard you address.
The liar will respond: The other will tell you to use my door.
The truthful guard will respond: The other will tell you to use his door .
In either case - always use the opposite door.
